Hi
I have a 2026 3500 Ram with Cummings and when I hook up to my trailer the trailer lights come on and will not shut off when I turn the truck off. The light switch in the truck is off. I have 3 different trailers and it is the same problem with all three. I have to pull the light cord to make the trailer lights go off! Truck has 200 miles on it and has a dealer appointment and they want me to bring the truck and trailer to them . Any thoughts? Thank you!

Sounds like the plug is wired wrong....the running lights are wired to trailer power. Easy to check with a test light.

As a test--have a friend or neighbor connect their truck to 1 or more of the trailers to see if lights work properly. If the lights do work correctly--you will know it is the truck...

A simple test with a test light would tell you the same thing. 3 trailers though its clear its not the trailers.

Thank you to all the truck has been fixed by the dealer. There is some type of electrical module behind the back seat that went bad and was sending power to the trailer plug at all times.

Thank you for following up with the fix.
