Am I missing something? Scrolled through cluster to 'trailer tow'. And there's no light check. I got a 23' Big Horn Drw with brake controller, towing technology group and uconnect 5 nav 8.4 inch. All it shows is the brake control, trailer trip log, and TTpms.

That’s where it is on my ‘22. There are 4 sub-menu’s.

Is a trailer hooked up? I don’t have to have one hooked up for my ‘22, but maybe the ‘23’s do??

Check the Radio settings? Or perhaps its left out? Im not sure how it works so just a guess

Was your trailer hooked up at the time? Needs to be.

Yeah it was hooked up. But now that I think of it., I did have the lights on. Not sure if that would prevent the whole sub menu for 'trailer light check' from even coming up.

I checked your build sheet from the tracking spreadsheet, and it doesn’t list trailer light check for your truck.
There’s another spot you can check in the radio. Go to apps, and the last choice in categories is other. Choose that, and go to trailer. See if you have the trailer light check soft key, and see if it works.
The light check cycle works without a trailer hooked up.

Mine is a 22, but a trailer does not have to be hooked up to see the sub-menu, or activate it.

The truck only knows there is a trailer hooked up if it has brakes, not all trailers have brakes and you can light check them all.

It would be nice if Ram used the light circuit instead of the brake circuit for trailer connections.

It was there in the apps. Thankyou very much for the info. It doesn't work quite like I thought it would. Is the app version the same as the cluster version? I was under the impression with the cluster version that it would cycle through all the lights and then indicate, in some way, if a light wasn't working. No biggie though, still pretty neat.

Trailers usually have combination brake/turn signals so you just turn on your lights and hit the hazard button and walk around your rig. You can see all the marker lights and your stop/turns.

Thats just too easy! And the only time that does not work is if someone wired the signals backwards! Lol

Doesn’t tell you if they are not working, just cycles them so you can check them.
