Trailer Brake Module recall 26V-059 (merged threads)

I am not, so far. Only towed about 400 miles so far with the replacement module. Hopefully in your case it's just a weird random one-off gremlin.
 
Well called thedealer today stating my issue with the new trailer module. They said bring it in today and they will replace it again stating I must have goten a defective new unit. I said also my miles per gallon seam off I dont get 96 mpg so I wonder if they did some programing in the computor as well with out my knowing. we will see.
 
Ok dealer looked at truck and said no codes were there so they cannnot do anything. I showed them a picture I took of the dash showing them what came up. They said if it happens again bring it back. But when I shut truck off it goes away. So I said it probaly will, hopefully it will happen when I am close by and can take it to them and not have to shut the truck off. Aother thing also happened as soon as I plugged the 7 pin connector to trailer it started the light check by its self is that normal? On my prvious truck I had to start the light check thru the front computor stack.

Normal. My 2025 does the light check every time I hook up trailer. I don't remember for sure, but I think there might be an option in Uconnect to disable auto trailer light check.

I personally like the auto light check. Drop gooseneck on ball, retract the foot, put the block in the bed, then hook up my lights. Walk to back of trailer and it is just starting the reverse lights. Then it restarts and I can verify all is hunky dorey.

I had the same issue as you with a dealer saying they can only do anything if truck is showing a code. It finally happened when 1) they were open and 2) I could go. Drove there and parked right outside their door woth the truck running til they checked it.

Correct, you can turn "auto trailer light check" on/off in the uconnect for 25+ (its under settings -> trailer), what I can't remember is if thats the same for pre 25MY or if its in the EVIC.

My dealer did this recall a couple weeks ago. The NEW module is now having symptoms including a "trailer disconencted" warning and unexpected trailer blindspot icon showing up when not connected. Ironcially, none of this happend on the old "defective" recalled modile. They checked the new one and said it logged a communication error. We're now waiting on a second replacement.

Losing faith in the brand here.
