Tradesman front side marker bulb?

I've been replacing my front halogen headlight bulbs with LEDs (2020 Tradesman w/base halogen lights); low, high, and 2 turn signal bulbs in each housing. There appears to be a 5th small bulb, which lights the rear side amber lens, but I can't seem to find any reference to it in the manual, or directions to change it. I was told by a tech at Headlight Revolution that there is a small "halogen" bulb lighting it, but I've never seen a tiny halogen bulb.

Haven't found any owner's manual reference for this bulb in the housing. LED replacements are a significant improvement over the stock halogens, by the way.

I don't plan on changing it at this point, but just curious... Anybody know?

Thanks, I saw a reference to that size bulb in the owners manual list, but any idea how to physically access it? I can't find any way to replace it in the headlight assembly. i don't want to change it, but in the course of changing the 4 other bulbs I'm at a loss to find how to get at that one.

Also, the bulb listing in the owners manual is pretty ambiguous. On pg 352 they call out directions for the "front park and turn", and "side marker lamp" replacements, but these are both the 7444NA bulbs in sockets. RAM uses different terms in the listing of internal and external bulbs just prior to this section.

It's stupid and one of those things a retired Engineer who had to write instruction manuals gets OCD over....

What kind of bulbs did u use for upgrading your LEDS to high beams I have ran into an issue with the tabs not seating like the halogen bulb and I’m starting to give up what bulbs did you use

I used the GTR Ultra Series 2.0 LED bulbs for the high and low beams, purchased through Headlight Revolution. They weren't cheap, but worked as advertised without any issues and put out a great deal of white light with a very good horizontal cutoff for the lows. I can't remember off-hand which, but either the high or low bulbs have an adjustment so you can orient the LED to the reflector in the housing when it's locked into the socket. Both bulbs have separate modules which have to be carefully fed into the housing making for a tight fit for everything.

I had more problems with the turn signal bulbs, which are also GTR Carbide Canbus 2.0 LEDs, with switchback feature. These are quite bright and are white LEDs until you activate a turn signal, then they turn to a bright amber and flash amber/white/amber... My issue was not knowing that my RAM wiring for those sockets (2 pr) are CK format, which has to do with the locations for the grounds and hot points of the contacts in the socket. They look identical, but when I first got the non-CK version the bulbs would only light when the running lights were on, or only when the turn signal activated. And, they were giving bulb failure errors from the RAM canbus system. Multiple emails with Headlight Revolution got me CK versions of the bulbs and everything working correctly with no errors. I'm pleased with the light output, and still have less than half $$ invested over the conversion to LED housings in my Tradesman.

I don't have any affiliation with GTR or Headlight Revolution, just had a trying but satisfying experience where they took care of me.

Do you happen to be able to snap a picture of the tabs on the GTR ultra for the high beams I have bought 2 sets for my vehicle and the first were the SV4 and they wouldnt seat correctly and the second was the morimoto 2 stroke 3.0 and the tabs that are on there a lot smaller than the halogen and they won’t seat either and I’m gonna try the ultra 2 on the highs but I’d like to see the tabs to make sure I’m not running into the same issues with the previous ones as you can see in the pictures they are clear differences in the tab sizes

I just checked and unfortunately don't have any pictures of the bare GTR bulbs. I can say high and low were both GTR Ultra Series 2.0, and twisted in tight when I installed them into the sockets. They rotated in and locked just like the original halogens.

I just installed the above led switchbacks in my 22 3500 bighorn. at first I had no problem they worked as Headlight revolution said. next day went out flipped the left turn signal on and got the left signal out and the hyper flash. flipped to the right and that one worked fine and still does today. Got to my destination turned my lights on and the parking lights on both sides worked fine and still work as of this post. On my way back from my destination the left signal started working properly, then again later that night the left signal stopped working and all the error signs. this morning fooled around with the bulbs took them out and reinserted them still no turn signal. then i put the factory bulbs in, the park light worked but no signal. Again the right side works flawless. any ideas?

Did you ever get a fix for this?

I have led switchbacks in my turn signals. I have an error messages saying driver side turn signal out. Parking lights work but turn signal does not. Move one light to the passenger and it worked just fine.
