Traded in for a blue oval and here are my findings...

Just got back from Chapman Ram in Horsham, PA. Order finalized and placed with them this morning. Got my POC and VON, should have my VIN on Monday. Here's the scoop:

5% under invoice + tax, tags and $394 doc fee
No deposit required.
No requirement to use their financing, but they will try to beat whatever I bring from outside.
Offered to buy my current truck today and apply the amount offered to the ordered truck to offset taxes when the new truck comes in.
Quoted 12 - 16 weeks for delivery.
They also do many orders for out of state buyers, so delivery options are available. Not sure what they are since I won't be needing that service.

Mention that you heard they were quoting 5% under invoice.
Ashlie was very upfront and the whole process was very easy. No games or pushy attitude.

Let me know if you guys want any other details.
I ordered from a local dealer in Ohio this week and my POC says BA - Order Pending. Hoping I get a Von my end of the week so it’s in the order queue. From here, I also heard 12-16 weeks.

I own an f-600 2021 factory ordered, almost every box checked and a 2021 ram 5500 which had most of what I wanted, but not everything.
Ford allows folding mirrors, ram 5500 no.
Ford 10 speed, constant down shifting and if you think it uses the exhaust break it was probably the wind. Ram on the other hand in tow haul exhaust break can throw you forward when it kicks in, transmission on the highway way better.
Ford highest trim in f-600 xlt, still have a physical key, awful headlights, cluster is awful, not even a def guage on main screen, but it shows me a turbo guage (don't care). Infotainment is stupid as well.
Ram is an slt, so technically a similar trim, but miles ahead of Ford, heated seats, steering wheel, keyless start, headlights are night and day better, cluster customization is wonderful as my truck always tows or hauls.
Ford has more dead pedal off the line, more power in the middle, less power towing heavy on the highway though. Ford has struggled in situations where the ram was able to pull better with a similar weight.
Ford 10 sp loves to get to 10th as fast as possible, hates to downshift when needed. Exception is when you have cruise set on the highway you hit the accelerator to go a mile or two over to pass somebody, take your foot off and it drops 2-3 gears to slow you down only a mile or two over your cruise, it's just stupid.
Ford was a regular cab, 22k lbs
Ram was a crew cab with 19.5k lbs

Ram was 5% cheaper, not apples to apples in configuration though. I only got the Ford because I wanted the 22k lbs capacity, looking back I should have sacrificed some weight and went with another ram.

I also owned a 2020 Chevy high country 3500 drw, worst decision in the last 2 years for trucks.

Im waiting for the 2023 Duramax; its going to have like 510hp and 1100ft lbs of torques. Car enthusiasts loitering in parking lots will fear me:cool:

I have a 20 F550 X-cab Lariat 7.3/10spd mine is about 19-19.5k ... The downshifting to slow you down instead of letting you go 3-4 mph over the cruise limit is prob my biggest complaint. Thats so annoying and then it takes forever to shift back, it runs along WFO. Other than that does really well, I've put 31K on it this year. I changed out the headlights and fog lights on day one lol

Glad to hear the 7.3 is holding up, typically if you are running an f550 the truck does not just do grocery runs. The other part that confuses me a little with these ford's is that I walk into the dealer that sold me and ask for an oil filter they tell me they don't have access to parts for any f450+ and I need to go somewhere else. I convinced them to call the dealer that could figure it out, but surprised ford does not give every dealer access to the part numbers. I walk into any ram dealer and say I have a 2021 5500 with a cummins they can tell me and get me what ever parts I need.

I would love to upgrade the headlights, but I drive on too many unlit roads at night and don't want people driving into my bright lights. I do hate the double regular light configuration that ford uses.

Yeah the 450/550 trucks might as well be a different brand truck at some places lol .. I've used these bulbs from HR on my last two SD and they work great and don't scatter light everywhere.
