TPMS (TIS) sensors for trailer (SOLVED - see 1st post) aka TTPMS - Trailer TPMS

Learning here….
Forgive me.

So these parts listed below are what’s needed for the TTPMS to function on my “2024” RAM 3500 ?
I bought parts from the old (2021) Stellantis instruction sheet and I guess those are wrong.

So… after purchasing the listed parts, installing, and programming?…..
..and then I can see the trailer tire pressures of 8 trailer tires on the 12” screen radio ?

I noticed this truck has the tire pressure warning for the truck tires, can the TTPMS system also allow warm of trailer tires with low pressures??
..or is it just a visual so one can look and see the pressure numbers ?

  • 1x TPMS receiver part # 68375990AC
  • (1x 4-pack of TPMS sensors part # 68433188AA) OR (4x TPMS sensors part # 68375992AA) whichever is cheaper and available
  • 1x Trailer Interface Module (TIM) gateway part # 68404893AB
  • 1x Wiring jumper part # 68412666AA

I did all this on my 2021... and it worked...intermittently at best. Just don't waste the money. Buy some half ass thing off Anyzon, and it'll save you a ton of time, money, and effort.

I’m now told these are not the correct parts for the 2024 RAM 3500
Just to verify…. Here are package photos.
Are these actually wrong ? Verify please.
I pitch them as electronics are never returnable.
I’ll have to go order up the correct components.

Thanks for the help… I gotta get this done soon as I can. Wish I could just pay and get this done but I’ll get it done. With help. Thank you guys

I’m thinking about it…
Really sucks the dealers don’t know about these kits and don’t seem to do upgrades and add ons these days. I rather just have this done vs. spending time and more money to get it set up and working…

What issues are you having ? I added it to my 22 and it works great. When i first hook up to the trailer i have to change trailers on the screen then set the tire pressure on the screen again but that takes all of 2 minutes before a trip and there is no added hardware ie screens or apps to add.

You need the parts listed by Brutal in the first post. Honestly if you read the steps a few times it will only take you 1- 1.5 hours tops to get this added , it is a really simple and worthwhile upgrade.

I guess there’s a module that goes up under the headliner ?? How much of a pain is the headliner to deal with ?

2022 UC5 trucks require 68526635AB instead of 68375990AC for the bumper receiver. Heads up it will be a tight fit to squeeze the wiring in. I thought there was no way mine would work because i had to use channel locks to get the bumper wiring plugged in but lo and behold it works perfectly.

Very easy all you need to do is pull down the headliner on the passenger side rear and you can get to it easily.
I wonder IF that module in the headliner might already be in place or do I need to buy it.
That one is reffed to as “TIM” ?

The factory installed harness does already have the socket behind the license plate at the rear number for the small module.(I just got the wrong model first go round.)

There's a complete writeup in the the 1st post.

I made it very clear when I provided the link here that you need to read the 1st post in this thread and that the 2022+ trucks used a different bumper receiver part number (listed in the 1st post):
  • 2022 UC5 trucks require 68526635AB
Hardest part pulling down the headliner is not losing the screw from the C-pillar trim over the rear seatbelt. You don't have to remove the whole thing, just enough to install the module and jumper cable.

It's not already there. You need the TIM gateway module.

FFS, dude, just read the 1st post already.

P.S. You can save a little money by not buying an MX+ module and get the Vgate vLinker MC for AlfaOBD - If you have Apple and need to use JScan, get the vGate vLinker MC+

Before I go buying the new parts that are listed in here in the forums… I wanted to check with my local dealership parts / service.
TEXT MESSAGE I received back.

ME:
Hello dealership,
can you verify what is included in the sales package (Sales Code XG9) with Stellantis ?

DEALERSHIP:
It does not tell me what is included with this sales code, but it does tell me that this sales code is not available for this vehicle. So even if we wanted to add this we could not due to it does not give us the option to add the sales code so your truck will acknowledge the TPMS sensors.
-- Adam KELLER

I don’t think they UNDERSTAND that I ALREADY KNOW ITS NOT THERE, therefore it’s not a feature on this truck… and THAT IS WHY!!! im Wanting to Install It !!

Hopefully, I’m not misunderstanding something and I buy all these parts again second round and then these parts don’t have a place to be plugged into on the truck…..

One question what is it that makes the tire pressure indicator on the 12 inch display show up as a graphic? Is that a software that’s in the TIM MODULE? … and then it just shows up on the screen?

What the dealership said makes me think if that feature was in the truck and all they had to do was turn it on. They would see it there, but if it’s not there to be seen in the trucks programming software whatever then it cannot be turned on if it’s not there
Sorry guys I’m just not wrapping my head around this….
But I do need to know the tire pressure when driving 12 days a trip back-and-forth to Alaska.

Thanks for all the help appreciate it. I hope we can make it work….

Read the first post. Everything you need to know is in there. The dealership cannot help you. The dealership does not have any idea of how to do any of these things.

For this you ARE THE DEALERSHIP....

Get AlfaOBD

The TTPMS will show up in your EVIC display under trailer settings and in the Uconnect.

Just buy a Tireminder or TFT.

My dealership didn't even know what a TTPMS was or that any of the Chrysler vehicles have it. One reason I only go to the dealer is for recalls.
