Towing MPG

11.3MPG with a 2021 Ram 3500SRW pulling a Jayco Pinnacle 36FBTS at 16.5K max, but a good 1K under that most of the time. I have a self imposed 65MPH limit even though we have tires rated at 87MPH

Love those Goodyear Endurance tires.

That's great mileage! I rarely get over 10 mpg with my 2020 3500 truck, and my last rig was a 2500 cummins and a 13k Jayco Eagle; it was about 9mpg average over a long trip. But, we almost always have mountains as part of where we go.
What terrain were you hauling on? And, what distance was this over? Any mods to the truck?
Sorry for all the questions, but if you can regularly get that mileage towing a Pinnacle, I want to know more!
Thanks in advance,

Brad

Lol, new truck 3500 miles on the odometer. first pull with 1100 miles, just over 10MPH. We are in flat country, Eastern NC. Last pull to Williamsburg VA, about 225 miles each way on mostly four lane highways

Probably the best mpg with that load on the entire board.

This is about what everyone else is getting, myself included.

Our last 2500 mile trip--SoCal to Yellowstone and back--netted 9.8mpg for the trip, hand calculated. Average speed was 68-72 mph. Trailer gvwr is 14k, but weighed around 12.5k for that trip.
