Hello All,
I have a 2024 3500. When I hookup my boat or motorcycle trailer a message pops up on the dash asking if it's conventional or fifth-wheel. When I choose and press ok it does nothing. Just stays on as a message. What else do I need to do to choose? Any input is appreciated.

I should be defaulted to conventional anf if you hit "OK" it goes away. Sounds like you can use the up and down arrow to select conventional or fifth wheel?

Does nothing as in stays on the screen asking you to select which type of trailer or does nothing as in returns to your standard dash display?

It will let me toggle to select conventional or Fifth-Wheel, but does nothing on either one when I select ok

Will let me select what trailer I am towing but does nothing when I hit ok. It stays on the dashboard asking me to select

I've seen it glitch like this once or twice. Requires me to power off the truck in order to get it to reset.

99% of the time, when I hit the okay button, the screen goes away, the dash looks as it should, and the blindspot monitoring goes to the correct setting.

Thanks, I will give that a try, but it never does anything when I press ok it just stays on the screen.

I know the Wheel is different, but on my 2020 I press the right arrow for that selection.

BTW, even though I tow a 5th wheel, I select conventional and the BSM "sorta" works. Not sure it would with a 104/105" wide body, but it does with my 96" wide GDRV.

Can you toggle up/down in the selection or is it completely froze? I'm pretty sure it starts on a selection and the OK button is correct button to select convention/5th wheel.

Brutal - I tried that on our trip a couple times with our 96" 5th wheel (I use BSM with my bass boat and it's awesome) and only felt like it did a decent job once. The other times the mirrors kept alternating showing someone in my blind spot when they weren't there then it would stop for a while then start up again. I'll keep trying if you've had more luck with it than that. Something is better than nothing!

Just let's me toggle. The ok button does nothing.

If the OK button is working in other menu's just not for trailer selection sounds like a dealer trip unfortunately.

My 2024 does same thing with boat trailer, but not camper. I go into settings on the uconnect and turn off BSM and it goes away. Sometimes turn it back on and works and sometimes it still doesn't work. Usually just leave it off. Have read others having sane issue.

Mine does the same thing a lot of the time. It will clear on mine by shifting back into park. I took it to the dealer and of course they said that they couldn't replicate it and I asked them to install any software updates anyways and they said there weren't any. Of course they also said they didn't hear the rattle coming from the center console either and there's no way that you could miss that if you drove the truck at all. I'm convinced good dealerships are as common as unicorns.

Thank you, No sense going to the dealer either. When I called they had no idea.

Well, of course not. You need to take it and have tech try to duplicate the issue. You cant ask the person answering the phone how to fix it - .
