Quick question about the towing break-in. I see a few posts here about how the 500 miles @ 50mph is more of a guideline than a hard and fast rule, but I've got a 300 mile round trip camping trip on 65mph 2-lane roads coming up. Trailer weighs around 8k, so just over half of my limit (2022 2500 w/6.4L gas engine).
I have no intent of running it up to 80 or anything, but if I put it at 60 or so am I going to A) screw it up, or B) affect the warranty? After all, the truck knows when I'm towing.
If the answer is "set the cruise at 50 and deal with the stares as people pass you," that's fine. I really just want to make sure I'm not gonna hurt my new truck or screw up the warranty.
Thanks!
