Tow Mirrors are the worst

Used to live in hotlanta…..400/285 interchange was a knight mare. 75/285 wasn’t much better.

TX does highways right. The parallel access and Texas turnarounds are the best.

Helps to have lots of elbow room planned in ahead.
I never knew feeder roads until I moved to the city for a couple years, they really are great for traffic management. That being said, you put 4.5 million people in one spot anywhere is going to have traffic.

I did dislike exiting miles before the road I wanted though. Another underrated TX road feature is the really wide shoulders and how everyone pulls onto them when turning. None of that having some dingleberry slam on the brakes and come to a complete stop to make a right hand turn like here in Ohio.

Ill just add these 2 little gems here not the worst but not my favorite to drive in

I opted for the non-moose mirrors on my truck. I put little convex mirrors in the corners of all my trucks.

I never ever look over my shoulder not even when backing. Mirrors don’t lie. Adjust them correctly and drive the truck.
I agree. When you look over your shoulder you are taking your eyes off what is happening in front of you. I drove a lot of trucks over the years and learned never to try to look over your shoulder. I also installed convex corner mirrors on every automobile I ever owned. Ford must have figured something out because my 2011 mustang came with corner convex mirrors. Like you said adjust them correctly and make yourself learn how to use them. I also never extend my moose ear mirrors. I prefer them down and the convex mirror on the outside. Convex mirrors adjusted correctly should show about 1 1/2 lanes over.

When I started driving most cars didn't have mirrors on the passenger side.
Yea- it was like a $10 option and no one wanted them. The only people I ever knew to have the right hand mirrors were blind in one eye and they couldn't get a license without them.

I hate that place and try to avoid it at all costs.

Yea, fortunately I'm WFH or scoot up 470 to DIA for work travel. It's rare I have to drive through Denver and then its going to be scheduled outside rush hour (for all that's worth.)

I’ve had GM trucks my entire life and those mirrors were easy. This new Ram of mine has been an adjustment. Not sure how to explain it but it’s simply different ano the muscle memory(eyeball memory) is getting me.
I have the large mirror so I don’t see any of my truck at all and the entire lane next to me. Then the convex mirror to cover my blind spot. Only adjustment I need to make is to aim the convex lower to see lines in parking lots for backing in.

I don't really understand why everyone has so much trouble with these(or any other mirror for that matter) other than perhaps you are not adjusting them properly.

You adjust them so the body line/bed of the truck is in view and up or down as needed. Use the convex mirror to cover the rest.

When is the last time anybody has ever heard so many gripes about a sideview mirror of all things?
There is obviously something unlikable about them for many people, I am one and so are every last who have driven my truck.
The misplaced, misshaped and strangely dark/distorted convex is the issue as far as we are concerned, there is a reason why aftermarket convex mirrors are not long and thin, shaped like the factory one...the tow feature is so bad that I don’t use it to tow, the field of view is even narrower. She refuses to drive the truck on a freeway.
