I never knew feeder roads until I moved to the city for a couple years, they really are great for traffic management. That being said, you put 4.5 million people in one spot anywhere is going to have traffic.TX does highways right. The parallel access and Texas turnarounds are the best.
Helps to have lots of elbow room planned in ahead.
I did dislike exiting miles before the road I wanted though. Another underrated TX road feature is the really wide shoulders and how everyone pulls onto them when turning. None of that having some dingleberry slam on the brakes and come to a complete stop to make a right hand turn like here in Ohio.TX does highways right. I agree. When you look over your shoulder you are taking your eyes off what is happening in front of you. I drove a lot of trucks over the years and learned never to try to look over your shoulder. I also installed convex corner mirrors on every automobile I ever owned. Ford must have figured something out because my 2011 mustang came with corner convex mirrors. Like you said adjust them correctly and make yourself learn how to use them. I also never extend my moose ear mirrors. I prefer them down and the convex mirror on the outside. Convex mirrors adjusted correctly should show about 1 1/2 lanes over.I opted for the non-moose mirrors on my truck. I put little convex mirrors in the corners of all my trucks.
I never ever look over my shoulder not even when backing. Mirrors don’t lie. Adjust them correctly and drive the truck.
Yea- it was like a $10 option and no one wanted them. The only people I ever knew to have the right hand mirrors were blind in one eye and they couldn't get a license without them. When I started driving most cars didn't have mirrors on the passenger side.
I hate that place and try to avoid it at all costs.CODOT spent 7 years improving I25 "T-REX"
It was back over capacity long before they finished it. Thanks in no small part to all coastal migration.

I don't really understand why everyone has so much trouble with these(or any other mirror for that matter) other than perhaps you are not adjusting them properly.
You adjust them so the body line/bed of the truck is in view and up or down as needed. Use the convex mirror to cover the rest.
