Too much oil and poor dealer help

The question is, was this connection ever messed with when the other 3285947234098634 parts were replaced?

who knows it could be if they took it apart and put back together? IMO the thing should be stripped and replaced with new all the way through. It probably would of been cheaper and more efficient lmao. The whole you must get RAMs approval to fix or don't get paid is the problem. Let the mechanics do their job and just fix it.

We decided to let me test drive my truck again after the EGR was repaired. We do not think it will fix it but we will know for sure soon. On my way home the motor knock is back so that hasn't changed lol maybe it will really blow up this time?

That sounds like poop.

We have been hoping that happens 7 months ago it would solve a ton of issues....... but here we are...

i know some dealers around here that would have voided your warranty cause of the shocks :P

honestly, im sad you have the knock back. but im also happy its back cause that just means more heartache for ram lol. If i was ram id be like look, here is a 3500 HO limited on us and we will need your truck as a case study.

Guys are the dealership Drool over my truck as it sits there lmao. the thoughts are in there head if my truck get bought back lmao.

It really is a shame they havent stepped up. They obviously cant fix it and they could use it as a case study. I optimistic this will all work out in the end.

Dealership is aware and Ram care is aware as well. The dealership i have been dealing with has been awesome. Will not have to worry about them pulling one over on me.
I still believe Ram knows whats up with it but can't admit it because of what it'll cause. Imagine this is a tuning issue and an emissions intact tune changed the entire thing but you obviously can't do that and I wouldn't want that thing after the abuse the engine has seen from fuel dilution. Thats why they haven't bought it back yet, they know and can't admit it. I don't think its a hardware issue at this point, something in the tuning or electronics.

Why would they be afraid to admit it. Do you see one hundred thousand threads like this out there? Highly unlikely they are afraid this is some systemic issue since it clearly isn’t.

The main thing (of many things) that doesn’t make sense is why they are willing to generate so much ill will and lose money chasing gremlins when they could just give him a new truck. But that smells more of corporate bureaucracy and/or lawyers than some sort of ill intent.

Not sitting in the truck with the customer when it left the shop for the first drive after repairs is another head scratcher.

Tripping over themselves to get the first crack at a truck that’s been in the shop repeatedly for months, presumably bought back because it can’t be fixed at all?

Are they sitting on the curb playing with Lincoln logs and drooling all over themselves when you pull up? Just trying to get a feel for what sort of people work at the dealership…

To change the PCM code and Emissions code they have to get approved by the EPA first before they can use it. its not a simple fix of altering too much red tape. i honestly think they have no idea what is causing it too many variables.

They are most likely holding on to my truck and wont buy it back because once its documented more will follow. This could be the start of a massive recall or investigation, Definingly Corporate bureaucracy and lawyers involved on this one.

lol nothing like that. they just like my truck lots of nice aftermarket parts the dealership is a good one to go to.

OP addressed your question as to why, it'd be floodgates of people with the same issue. And to answer your question, yes TONS of threads get merged into one Frequent Regen thread It is a mass of people with the same issue plaguing majority of 2022 trucks, although other years have similar issues. You're welcome to do the digging and reading for yourself. Ram is without a doubt aware of the issue and if you're right and OP is right, that they really don't know what the issue is then they're a bunch of super incompetent people. Maybe Im giving them too much credit but this screams to me something within the tune or electrical system in the emission control is the issue.

I meant grabbing an aftermarket emissions intact tune. Obviously you wouldn't do this and void your warranty but it would be interesting to see. And if Ram doesn't know what the issue is, truly, then buy the truck back and tune it themselves, see what happens. I don't trust corporations these days, at all. they'll do anything to cover their asses and make consumers deal with their failures

This guy’s issues go far beyond frequent regen. Exhaust in cab, engine knock, oil level constantly rising on its own - and thats just what I remember off the top of my head. If his experience was pervasive, there would already be lawsuits much less recalls. If anything following your logic they should have just bought the truck back to shut him up and sweep the problem under the rug.

I think all the issues run together. I think my case of regen is just on the severe side.

Engine knock probably from fuel dilution.
smoke is cab for ****ty work being done.
fuel in oil from injectors and Regens.
Regens could be from DPF, DOC , bad air filter, CCV or PCV filters plugged, leaks in EGR, Leaks on DPF. name it my truck seems to have it lmao.

So many things to cause regens and not 2 trucks are taking the same remedies. you really cant press a lawsuit until the root source is all the same and is proven.
