Impressive documentation but I guess thats required in this situation.

AAAAAnd still getting the run around with all this documentation. Sad Ram.
That'll be interesting to see. I switched to a 2018 last week from my Prospector XL. I love the 4.5 Gens but the issues keep piling up and I don't have the patience in life that you do, not yet at least. Im working on it with the Big man upstairs hahahaRam likes to argue and point fingers it was the only thing i could do to shut them up a bit. it's been a pain in the ass lol. Having to consistently watch, check, and record. I just want a truck I can drive and not worry anymore.
I also have a 22' tradesman that I am back in since I won't be driving my truck for testing anymore. I'll be comparing trucks in pretty much the same driving habits.

Holy smokes. Yikes. This sample was pulled at 1860ish miles from a fresh oil change...............

I hear you on making a move. I’d sit tight until there’s an end point that will drive the decision. My 2019 2500 was awesome and even better when it dropped emissions stuff on a 75hp tune. Towing my wife’s Q8 that was loaded with stuff, a bed full of ammo and personal items, mega cab stuffed full of valuables, myself dog and dad, averaged 14 mpg from Florida to Tn, 80mph hustling hahaha. They’re great trucks
Just for sh it and giggles do you know what month of 2022 was your truck made, wondering if these type of BS problems some are having with the 2022, do they all have 2022 made engines or some with late 2021 made engine installed in a 2022 model?
Have they done an ECU update on your truck? I was a bit surprised to not see the sticker on my hood until last week showing mine had new code installed on 9/18/23, only reason I know what the sticker was about is because it's just like one they put on the hood on my old 06 years ago when it was updated to new code...If I remember right mine was a November 2021 build. I bought it the day it was delivered to the dealership in January 2022.
It’s extremely difficult to get a 2019+ truck under the 16% when it’s used as a daily conveyance in a mixed duty cycle application.FWIW Cummins considers anything over 10 min per hour of operation of idle time to be excessive, which is 16.6%.
My 2022 counts idle hours more aggressively than my 2018 did. The 18 was easy to keep under 10% and was at 8.09% when I sold it. I’ve been driving the same, or even less idling, on the 22 and I can’t seem to break 11.1% and it’s currently at 11.3%.

I do the absolute bare minimum of idle time on my 2022 and I’m averaging 24% idle time. I’ve had neither the time nor the patience to “test” how the truck actually measures idle time, but I suspect that low RPM movement may still constitute idle time under the computers parameters. Mine sees predominantly highway operation with very little stop & go, or city driving but still manages to log far more idle hours than I’d care to have. I actually caught a “glitch” with it earlier this summer. Left for a 30 minute drive to get some supplies and when I got to my destination the engine hours were two hours more than when I left. Got stuck in a few minutes worth of stop and go at red lights during the trip. But I was shocked when I saw the total hours had increased by two hours, when far less than that had surpassed in real time. Unfortunately I didn’t have any of the data documented to present as “evidence”, it was only what I had noticed myself.
Yeah it had to be this. It’s the only explanation that makes sense. It’s what I assumed happened as well. Just caught me off guard when I left the house 30 minutes prior and had 2 additional operational hours when I arrived at the destination a half hour later. The way our hour meters read you could have ticked over an hour of idle time and an hour of drive time which would put two hours of total time in the clock in less than two hours.
I’ve seen this happen on truck too.
Sure would be nice if we got decimal points.
Turned that 40 weight into a 30 weight in under 2k miles. Imagine where it would be if you were one of the “ignore the regen messages” crowd…This sample was pulled at 1860ish miles from a fresh oil change...............

We know the problem, it’s a yellow colored fruit that leaves an extremely sour taste in one’s mouth.I cringe every time someone says just drive it it's working the way it supposed to. Don't be paranoid like those guys lol.
Hopefully I get some answers and they find out what the real issue is before i don't have my truck.
