Too much oil and poor dealer help

Moring check.View attachment 68805

Saw this this morning. They think I am adding it.View attachment 68812
That's hilarious! These really are some stoopid mofo's. I had my oil changed (2nd time in a month) last Wednesday, I drove 250 miles (4.5 engine hours) on Thursday (2 regens), and my dipstick looks like your dipstick after an overnight sit on Friday morning. I don't have the clever paint marks on my fill cap so I guess it's possible that someone added 2 qts of something for some reason. SMH.

Yeah I laugh when I saw that. I would say a piece of seal tap or something of the sorts that you couldn't set back to the original place would be a bit better or at least a scribe mark that I wouldn't notice lmao.

That is crazy.

The mark on the cap is standard practice when an oil consumption test is being performed. I’m surprised they didn’t install an actual “do not tamper” sticker across the cap.

In this case, it’s more of an oil production test.

Your recently replaced DOC / DPF assembly (and everything else) in the downstream is likely ruined at this point. That includes the turbocharger whose bearings are unquestionably taking a hit from the reduction in oil viscosity and friction protection.

I would not be satisfied with anything less than a complete engine and emission replacement at this point.

Over the time for lemon law but this will be the third time back to the dealership in a month. They can't figure out the regen issue because they are ignoring the fuel in oil. I am almost to my 4th regen in about 350 miles. I'll provide proof again of no oil consumption, I pull oil sample again and send it out. If they have any questions I'll just send then the link to this thread lmao.

I'm scheduled for a fuel system eval a week from Wednesday, I'll let y'all know what's what afterwards. At least my dealership mechanics are taking this seriously and not clowning me. Meanwhile, it's parked and won't be used until then.

I am going back in on Monday. I'll keep you updated on what they say. So far pcm flash, injector power balance test, stationary force regen, MAF sensor batteries, ccv filter, DPF and in all that never really looked at why I am getting fuel into my oil lol. I am guessing I had about 4k of fuel in oil before the dealer and another 1k while they troubleshoot emissions before actually looking into fuel system lol.

Well it did not blow up or catch fire.... the vibration did get a little worse. Ended today at 496 miles since I picked it up from the dealer this last week. 4 regen cycles since then and gained more fuel in oil. I will check oil level in the morning @AH64ID but did check it after sitting for 30mins when i got home.

Pulled the turbo intake tube off to take a look. Definitely oil but not as much as expected, the turbo does sit at a slight angle so nothing could sit on the flange.
