Tires, Nitto Ridge Grappler or Toyot Open Country AT3?

According to many reviews and comments on the web on the Ridge Grapplers, they are saying they perform very well in rain. I have yet to test that.

Correct, it rains plenty up here and they're very sure footed.
 
Reading reviews the Toyo RT has slightly less mileage warranty, be gets great reviews on wet traction. I’m leaning that way for now. Still time to beat myself up about it.

RTs were my second choice only because they are much louder than the RGs. From reviews, RTs get very loud after some wear. Other than that, they are great tires.
 
I ran Toyo RT on my jeep in 35x12.5-17 and excellent tires. I know a 4 door jeep is not a full size pick up but on the jeep they were great and would be better in the dirt than the AT3 but AT3's would be better on wet and winter roads.
 
I like the Nitto RG myself. Mix of gravel, pavement and dirt/mud. And snow. No one tire is gonna be perfect, but these work well for me. I had some firestone destinations, but they chunked on me, although they are still on that truck, which is dedicated to snow plow duty.

I run 37/13.5/22 toyo open country m/t all year round, live in Northern MN. I think they're fairly quiet and I get 50-60 k miles out of them. 14 ram 3500 cummins
 
Both tires have good reviews, Nitto Ridge Grappler and Toyo Open Country AT3. The deciding factor might be with the overall look you want to achieve. I am using BFG 265/70/17 good for all year round tires, comfortably quiet and durable.
If you are still on the lookout, there is a good article that I read that you may want to consider. It has comprehensive reviews that might help your exact needs in a tire.
 
I was just trying to decide between the nitto RG, toyos AT3, and the falken wildpeak. I knocked the falken out due to availability at this point due to covid. I ended up choosing the toyos because of the mileage rating was almost double the nittos. Located in MN

I just picked up a set of Toyo RT in 35/12.5-17. I could not get Falkens in that size either due to being backordered. having had both the Toyo AT3 and RT in 35's on my jeep I went with the RT on my PW simply because they are a truer in size to an actual 35 than the AT3 is. That is the only reason I went that way. AT3 will be a better snow tire for sure.

I saw that as well. I just don’t have a leveling kit on my truck so I wanted to be sure I didn’t have any rubbing. I also want to make sure it will fit in my garage. Currently has about 2-3” of clearance so pretty tight already.
 
I've had Terra Grapplers before, liked them. Just put on the 35" Toyo AT3's a few weeks ago. Ride is fine but can definitely tell they are louder than stock...not something I recall noticing back when I had made the switch to the Terra's.

Same tire. I noticed it too immediately especially at speed. I’ve had for a few months now and either they have calmed down tremendously or I’m just used to it already but it’s not something I think about even if the radio is off.
 
Torn btwn the two. Myself... Can anyone attest to either tire in packed and fluf snow??
 
Toyo AT3s now have the 3PMSF rating and Nitto RGs don't.
I couldn't get the Toyo's so I went with Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws. According to many reviews, the Falkens are quieter than the Toyo's and better in snow than the Nitto's. So, best of both worlds.
I am very happy with them in snow so far; much better than the OEM Transforce.
As to noise; they have a lower rumble to them compared to the OEM, but not louder. I actually think the tone is better overall as the OEM tires had more of a mid tone that was annoying.
