I have a 21 Ram 2500 Laramie Cummins Night Edition. I want to replace the factory Firestones. I want to use the factory 20”wheels. I live in the Northeast and use my truck for plowing my 600’ driveway and use it to go on camping and Mtb trips in the summer. I live on a dirt road. I only have 12k on the truck but have a few plugs in the tires so I want to replace. What tire and size do you guys recommend? I don’t want any rubbing issues.

Here's a good discussion to get you started.

Thank you for the link but that post doesn’t seem relevant to my situation. I am looking for a replacement to the OEM Firestone tires and they will be mounted on the oem 20” wheels.

No I don’t. Correct me if I’m wrong but the links you sent are people looking for the biggest tires the can put on either an aftermarket wheel with a different offset or 18”. I think I get the point that you would like me to research previous posts, I didn’t see one that was my exact situation. This post can be deleted and I can search better.

Falken WildPeak AT3’s are enjoyed by many, including myself. I’ve had them on several vehicles and used in the snow, the are snow rated and have a great tread warranty.

Mine are just slightly taller than stock but fit without any rub or modification.

What size are you running? Why did you go taller than stock? Appearance?

X3. I went with stock size, thought about going with the slightly larger but decided I didn't want more height to the truck right now.

I like the Cooper AT3 XLT’s. I’ve also heard great things about the Falken’s.

Duratrac’s also generally get great reviews, but I recently learned there are two styles. The ones without the 3PMSF rating are horrendous on snow/ice/wet.

285/65. Very minor size change but adds almost 1” in height.

I didn’t want to lift but felt a little taller tire would fill the wheel well a little better.

Regardless of size, my first priority was the tire itself as I had used them before and have been very happy with them.

That’s the size I plan to run when I replace the trashforce tires.

They look good, but aren’t too big to notice when towing.

I was referring to tire height. But yea, overall height change to the truck would be about 1/2”.

I figured that, just was making sure the OP understood what you meant.
