Tire Load Capacity

I have a 2020 3500 Crew Cab. When I purchased the truck a year ago, I found a great deal on some Anniversary Power Wagon wheels that were takeoffs before it left the showroom floor. The problem is the factory tires for that setup is Goodyear Wrangler DuraTracs in a 'D' rated tire. However, when I lookup the specs and compare against the 'E' rated tire, I see they have the same Max Load capacity (3195 lbs). The only difference I can find is the Max Inflation Pressure is 65 psi versus 80 psi. We are looking to upgrade our travel trailer to a larger 5th wheel and I am concerned these tires might be underrated for the job. I also don't want to run out an buy new tires since these are still like new. I appreciate any feedback you may have. Thanks!

In my opinion you should be good unless your rear axle weight with camper was to exceed 6,390 lbs, that's one heavy load.
Not really crazy heavy tho empty my PW is over 3100lbs and with just a load of camping gear over 4000lbs I would think a big camper would be pushing it. Especially at 65psi.IMG_20211011_160820520.jpg
 
My dually is rated for 65 psi rear, but that's 4 tires securely planted
 
@CJWINDING whenever I see question like this come up I always encourage folks to take a gander at a load inflation table, it will show you everything you need to know and then some. I’ve had a class A CDL for over 20 years so I know a thing or 2 about “weights and loads”, learned a lot about tires when someone pointed me to a load inflation table years ago. Knowledge is power………..

Not sure if posting the link is ok or not but just google load inflation table, Toyo has a really good one.
 
Thanks to everyone for your feedback and suggestions. I am one to error on the side of caution so will likely upgrade to some proper load range E tires before I do any serious pulling. Plus these are 17" tires with plenty of sidewall, so having an extra ply or two would make me a bit more comfortable.

You still will have the same 2 ply sidewalls unless you get a mud tire that says 3 ply sidewall…. You have plenty of capacity with the tires you have

Yes most people dont understand load index vs inflation chart i run my duals on the 01 at 40 anymore than that i way exceed the trucks capacity anyway as it gives me over 7k RGWR at 40
