Tilting mirrors in reverse

Not sure if this is in the right subforum, but is there any way to adjust how much the mirrors tilt down when in R? Mine go so far down that I cant even see the back of the truck or what Im backing into.

I think they’re designed to look at the curb/lines. I had those on a Chevy a while back. I didn’t like how far down it tilted so I turned it off.
 
I turned mine off too. At first, I thought what a great feature, since I have to tilt the passenger side one down to back my trailers down our longish lower driveway. But between too much tilt and not wanting the drivers side to tilt at all, it proved less than helpful. I also didn't like it when backing up with no trailer hooked up. So like the auto wipers, it is now disabled.
 
I’m in agreement. Tilt too much or not needed in some situations. Ram engineers need to put an easily accessible switch that toggles this feature easily vs buried in UConnect settings. My wife’s Hyundai uses the mirror selection switch for easily controlling this feature. Middle = no tilt, left or right = tilt. Simple and easy.
 
I know this is a slightly older post, but the amount of tilt *is* adjustable. Put the truck in reverse, wait for the mirrors to stop moving, adjust to where you want them. They’ll go back to the same place next time you put it in reverse.

Nope. doesn't work on mine. tilts down too far. Disabled it again.

Im glad i dont have them i had them in a pathfinder it was awful with the towing mirrors the blind spot mirror does a good job at showing you the curb lines no need for the large mirrors to move
 
I think the tilt is more for curbs/low points. I think it's a great feature when backing into a tight area or high curbs. Absolutely worthless when backing my 5er. I turned mine off by going through the 27 steps, but I do wish there was a single screen/button to reactivate it when not towing.

That’s great to know. I’ve abondond that feature on this truck and for it useless on my other Ram and Grand Cherokee. Thanks for the education.

I’ve been informed I remembered wrong. It doesn’t work that way, sorry!
 
Question. If you have programmable driver settings and don’t need them for extra drivers couldn’t you set one for reverse and program it. Then when needed just select that program. Button 1 normal. Button 2 reverse. As a work around.
