Thuren Level questions

Good day!

I am looking to improve the ride quality on my 22 Ram 2500. I currently run 35 x 11.50, no rub with the Thuren high clearance sway bar. I don't have intentions of going to a bigger tire and like the stock limited NE wheels.

Measuring my from center hub to fender I am at 25 in the front and ~27 in the rear so roughly a 2 inch rake.

I am considering either.
A. 1 inch lift in front and 1/2 inch lower in rear coils / fox 2.0 shocks / track bars

Or

B. 2 inch lift in front and stock height in rear coils / fox 2.0 shocks / track bars

Anyone with any experience or input would be greatly appreciated.

I am leaning heavily to option A as I don't have intentions of running 37" tires in the future. Also I'd like to keep a bit of rake and not be dead level..

Thoughts!?

I ran option B on my 2017 (stock 33” tires only though) with all those same bells and whistles and it left me with a slight rake.

1" Thuren diesel coils, stock rear coils, Thuren sway bar with Fox 2.0 all around. Tires are 285/65R20 measured at 34.4" on stock limited wheels. Slight rake, when trailer hooked up perfectly level

That's what I'm looking for, thank you! Would you say the ride improved substantially? Also, if you wanted to put 37s one day, would they fit?

I would definitely say the ride improved substantially. Previous truck was '17 RAM 1500 w/ 4 corner air ride and it was smooth so I was spoiled. Immediately looked for a solution. The ride is smoother, barely any side to side rocking when going over speed bumps or in driveways and the highway ride makes it a pleasure to drive, it's a totally different beast. In reality the 1" springs lifted mine 1.5". As to 37" tires fitting I honestly can't say, they may but it may be real close.

This is my truck with 2” front coils stock rear coils and fox 2.0 all around. Tires are 295/65 20s or 35x11.5ish.

There is still a slight rake .5-1”

I also agree on the Thuren coils.
I bought my 2018 3500 used, and the previous owner had installed Kore VR springs, and it rode like a cement truck.
The first thing I did was install Thuren coil springs, Thuren track bar, and Fox 2.0 shocks. Got the whole kit direct from Thuren.
Night and Day difference in the ride and handling... it's like a new truck, only better.

I'm currently running a full Thuren build, including his 2.75" front and +1" rear soft ride coils. I'd recommend you deciding what you plan to carry in the bed on the daily before you make any final decisions. Thurens rear coils ride amazing, but they are very soft. Even with just a cap on the truck, the truck is no longer level. With my cap, 37" spare, and some recovery/repair gear and such in the bed, it is slightly, but visually to me, nose high.

If you plan on towing often and don't want to mess around with air bags or anything, or plan to keep 400-500lbs of gear in the bed, stick with the factory coils or do Carli R2 rear coils (but they are +2" so that may be too much for you).

As for 37s in the future. You can technically put 37s on your truck without even a level, so long as you buy the correct offset wheels. So that won't be an issue, although you may need to trim a hair more of the pinch weld or plastic, depending on the wheel and tire choice.

Looks awesome!!

Right now I am at 25" in front and 27 1/8" in the rear. So I'm at like 2 inch rake and I do want to keep about an inch.

Just can't decide if I should do 1 inch up in front and 1/2 down in rear or if I should do 2 inch up in front and 1 inch up in rear.

These pics are helpful!

Truck is really just a commuter won't be carrying heavy loads in bed or towing anything frequently like maybe once or twice a year.

You like the Carli over Thuren?

I keep 400ish lbs in my bed at all times and also tow pretty regularly so soft ride rear or lowing coils weren’t an option for me.

I wouldn’t go with any less than 2” front coils if your looking for a better ride, one of the biggest reason carli and thuren stuff ride so much better is the additional up travel the lift provides.

Any challenges mounting the reservoir shocks? Is there a big difference in fhe reservoir vs standard fox shock?

Again.. looks awesome!

I'd say you'll be fine with the Thuren soft ride springs then, if you decide to go that way.

In terms of brand preference, it's just that, preference. You can't go wrong with Carli or Thuren. I think both companies offer amazing products, at some point it comes down to what you want to do. Carli is much more focused on their full kits, so you choose if you want a 3.25" suspension system or a 2.5" level. With Thuren you get far more customization and some cost savings, but you don't get certain options (like radius arm drop brackets or stiffer rear coil options). Carli also has a single shock tuning option, where as Thuren lets you dial it to your preference when you order. I think it may be overkill for most folks, but it's an option for harder use trucks, where as Carli does hard use in combination with their suspension setups. Pretty long way of saying they more or less get you the same place in different ways.

The brackets didn’t quite fit how they’re designed too. I made a thread or post about it somewhere, there’s a tab welded to the coil/shock tower that prevents the bracket from sitting on the flat part of the tower which forces you to move the the bracket where it doesn’t quite sit flush. It’s still just drilling 2 holes and bolting them up but you have to oversized one hole a little to help in starting the rear bolt.

You can see that little square just behind the back bolt
