<div class="bbWrapper">Hey all,<br /> <br /> I picked up the Thuren active rate sway bar for my 19&#039; 2500 Crew Cab Hemi and am shocked by the difference it&#039;s made. I highly suggest that anyone unhappy with the stiff factory suspension, especially while turning at low speeds, give this a shot first!<br /> The truck should have come like this from the factory. I am simply floored at how well this thing allows for increased articulation on the front and results in much improved ride quality. If you don&#039;t feel like dropping thousands on new shocks and springs definitely give this a try. I hear the Carli equivalent is equally amazing.<br /> <br /> Install was very simple, just a few bolts.<br /> <br /> Link to product: <a href="https://www.thurenfabrication.com/thuren-torsion-sway-bar-kit-for-radius-arm-trucks.html" target="_blank" class="link link--external" data-proxy-href="/forum/proxy.php?link=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.thurenfabrication.com%2Fthuren-torsion-sway-bar-kit-for-radius-arm-trucks.html&amp;hash=a45fb31466ce6764efe3ef4a18c2dff5" rel="nofollow ugc noopener">https://www.thurenfabrication.com/thuren-torsion-sway-bar-kit-for-radius-arm-trucks.html</a><br /> <br /> I&#039;ll most likely be upgrading to new wheels/tires and possibly, King 2.0&#039;s. For now this has solved many of my gripes about the truck.<br /> <br /> That is all.<br /> <br /> Happy Holidays!</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Thanks for this! <br /> <br /> But I must say I don&#039;t fully understand how this helps for on road; I guess I assumed this would be for off road or situations where there would be a lot of articulation. So, how does this help with everyday on road driving? <br /> <br /> I have a 3500 and I think my biggest complaint is the stiff rear end; going over railway tracks for frost heaves in our northern roads gives a harsh bounce, mostly on the rear. <br /> I&#039;m assuming this would not help with that? Other than full rear suspension, is there a sway bar that helps the rear also?<br /> <br /> Thanks,<br /> <br /> B</div>

Stock shocks were lacking to keep control. Fox 2.0s are ok. It will be nice to re-valve my King 3.0/2.5 combo for the new front weight.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Thanks for this. I just ordered mine yesterday, should be here next week. I&#039;ve got the Thuren front and rear coils and Fox shocks. It already rides much better than stock. Are you going to do the rear bar as well? I know you said the install was simple, how long did it take you? Did you need to remove the tires and put on jack stands? Did you get a new alignment once it was installed? I am not sure if that is required or not. Thanks!</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Ramalama, have you had a chance to test the Thuren sway with a good load in your truck yet?</div>

I had 2400 lbs of flagstone in the bed and thought it drove fine on a 35 minute drive at 70 mph up I70 west of Denver (it&#039;s steep!)</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Thanks! I&#039;m considering adding the Thuren sway once I get everything settled in with AEV suspension I&#039;m getting installed. Seems to be a good add to soften up the front, but I don&#039;t want to lose stability when really loaded.<br /> <br /> That run up to the Eisenhower is a workout!</div>

I took it to just a local garage across the street from my office thinking anyone could install it. The links looked kind of crooked when it was up on the rack. I came to pick up up right when they were finishing up. These aren’t the best pics, but is this how yours went on?</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">I installed the Thuren back in October and had pretty much exactly the same comments. I still maintain that it’s the single most effective mod I’ve ever done to a vehicle. If you have lower offset wheels it should clear no problem. The reason is that where the stock bar has a kink in it the Thuren is straight.</div>

If you&#039;re mechanically inclined and have a good assortment of tools, installation should take about an hour to an hour and a half going slow and methodical.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Just a follow up, as I recently added the Thuren Torsion Sway Bar to my 2020 Tradesman with AEV Dualsport suspension. The suspension is also a recent install and I drove about 500 miles before adding the sway bar. As others have said, there&#039;s a very noticeable on-road difference, with the sway bar diminishing the &quot;harshness&quot; that the stock front suspension had, especially when the truck is unloaded. I haven&#039;t towed heavy with the truck yet, but hard cornering doesn&#039;t seem compromised and I&#039;m pleased with the articulation I&#039;ve gotten so far.<br /> <br /> Install was straightforward and didn&#039;t require removal of anything nor jacking up the vehicle, although the 3&quot; AEV lift surely helps <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f60e.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt="" title="Cool " data-smilie="6"data-shortname="" /> . One note for anybody adding this to the AEV suspension: Thuren ships the sway bar with 5.25&quot; long sway bar links. While I was able to install and drive my truck with those, there was very little clearance between the passenger-side sway bar arm and the draglink. The AEV suspension flips the draglink to the top of the steering arm on the passenger side to create a &quot;high steer&quot; linkage. The solution was to get 6.75&quot; sway bar links, which created more clearance. Andrew at Thuren was very helpful in getting me squared away, and I provided pics and details for their reference.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">I&#039;m thinking install this sway bar first them add a leveling kit, (Synergy or thuren or Carli ? Not decide yet, also I need change the track bar, right?)</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">If your suspension is currently stock, then the sway bar should install with no issues. An adjustable track bar allows the front axle to be re-centered, when you lift the front axle significantly from the stock geometry.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Got my Thuren sway bar and Fox ATS steering stabilizer, took some time to install, the grease gun did not work well.<br /> <br /> Found there&#039;s rust on this 2 months truck!<br /> <br /> Next, replace the stock shocks with FOX 985-24-098 - PERFORMANCE SERIES 2.0, give up leveling or lifting....<br /> <br /> A local shop charge $500 for labor, I think I can save for rear shocks.....</div>
