Surround View Stopped Working

Last week, the surround view camera stopped showing up in reverse and the guidance lines on the backup camera stopped showing up. Trying the simple things first I disconnected the batteries for a couple hours to see if that would fix it. No dice. Had the dealer pick it up on Monday afternoon and got notified Tuesday mid morning they are replacing the cargo camera because it was defective. Followed up with me Tuesday afternoon and said that didn’t work so now they are replacing the front camera. I’m assuming they came to that conclusion through some sort of part diagnostic procedure from Ram. Front camera is 3-5 days out so I had them return my truck while I wait for the parts to come in. Anyone else had issues like this?

I did some research on it and it seems like the 5th Gen 1500s have had a few issues with the cameras but haven’t seen too much on the 2500/3500 platform.

Doesn’t sound like a bad camera issue, that would probably result in just that camera not giving a feed. Sounds like an issue in Uconnect (hw/sw)

Front camera came in last week. Dealership picked my truck up on Friday of last week and got it installed. New front camera did the trick and everything is working again. This is the first real issue I’ve had with the truck and the dealership did a great job fixing it. All is well again!

Nice to hear they did a good job for you. Most times that is not reported just the negative stuff .
