Strange sound when going slow

So today we took the truck out to run some errands. We got hungry and went through an drive thru. I noticed that every time I released the break there was a sound like a high pitched squeak/release of pressure. It went away after we got it out of the drive thru and couldnt get it to happen again. just wondering is anyone has heard this. I dont know if it was the AC or brake related because I did notice it kinda went away after i turned off the AC.
 
My truck will make a noise that sounds similar to what you describe if I am stopped and ease off the brakes just enough to let the truck creep, as in a drive through situation. Funny thing is my brother and I both said the last truck we heard that on was Gramps new 1988 D150. It did the same thing. I would call mine the brake pads/rotors giving some feedback of let me clamp or let me float....stop the in between.

Maybe that's it. The truck only has 300 miles so the breaks haven't really been broken in.

I have a similar noise I believe. Its like a low squeak. It reminds me of a bad water pump when it whistles. I only hear it low speeds as well, but it doesn't seem to be all the time.

Yea maybe it would make sense as it was when releasing the brake and it sounding like receiving pressure in a hydraulic line.
 
I heard it today - very faint - reminds of the sound the "Jetsons" car makes - if you don't know who the Jetsons are I am showing my age. It seems to be on acceleration -

mine squeaks, more with a gooseneck trailer connected. for me it’s the rubber between cab and bed. I got it wet and squeak momentarily went away. wonder if there is a lube or way to adjust

Why does it do more with a gooseneck I wonder... Shouldn't be anymore bed flex.

You are pretty daft if you think there is no flex in these frames as little as there is it is needed if the frame could not flex it would crack welds and the steel would crack aswell and you cant compare an XJ to a framed truck but yes they all flex….. i can see the box move independently from the cab the slightest amount on my 19 CCLB its normal

Also the twist test they do is irrelevant to anything other than cab and box construction besides you can see the slight twist the frame has when its on the ramps

Nobody is questioning you ...

Calm down...a little sensitive... maybe your welds are ugly.
 
BTW I have seen some trailers with some jacked welds....no penetration...wrong heat...

But carry on with your self gloating because clearly it matters to you more than me.
 
I didn't weld the trailer.. But me and my lil ol Hobart MIG added some sides ...I hit the welds with a hammer and nothing fell off....all good.
