Got an email from Ram Service saying ATTN: Vehicle Malfunction Indicator Light Alert

I connected AlfaOBD and could not find any error codes.
Attached copy paste from email and a screen shop from cell phone App message.

Any idea what this is about?
No issues with the truck btw.

I get them...had 2 or 3 so far. No CEL or anything I can scan. When I look online at the App nothing is listed there either.
I was told during the last recall fix at the dealer that my RamCharger (phone charger in the console) had reported an overheating event and shut down. I did not get any type of warning there, but do agree that my phone while charging in the Otterbox Defender case will heat up substantially. I have minimized my usage of that charger now...I use it, but am cognizant of the time it spends there.

Weird. I got the same exact message but the timing was when I had the truck in accessory mode and was charging my phone. I locked the truck and it beeped so I assumed I did something out of sequence. But I put my Blue Driver OBD scanner in and it found zero codes. Hmmm….

Mine was actually the same situation, I had the truck in accessory mode listening to music waiting for my wife to finish an appointment so about 30 minutes. Must be a bug in the RAM app with the truck in accessory mode too long and it thinks the check engine light is illuminated for a fault

Ok, that makes sense.
I also had the ign on to the run position for several minutes without the engine running on the morning that the error was reported.

Though it is much easier to find the problem when you can see the smoke, I prefer to be proactive and investigate before the smoke starts. Usually costs a lot less that way.

They seem to throw the odd code or issue for no reason randomly its an app issue not the truck

Remember, technology runs on magic smoke. Once you let the magic smoke out you can’t put it back in.

I have been receiving those emails for over a month now, usually 1-2 a week. The last time I was at the dealer asking about the FCA Recall ZA3 for the 68RFE recall for the 2022 I asked them about this issue, they told me it had to do with UC5 and nothing they could do for it.

Don't know how much I put into that and I don't know how a radio can give you a Powertrain Malfunction Indicator Light but no CEL on my truck but that's what I was told. Maybe the software update S26.17-PROD I received tonight will fix the issue.

I had the same email and text regarding the Malfunction Indicator Light - Powertrain. Service manager at my dealer said the only thing he could find on the codes was a "Radio disconnect" error. They cleared it and said that it was very strange. They drove it and checked for any other errors and told me to call them if it came back.

I searched for codes and found zero - I still “cleared all codes” just in case. I also got the updated version 26.17. Not sure whether either or both mattered but I’m no longer seeing the email…

I had the same issue twice now and it was also when the truck was left in accessory for an extended period.
