Strange engine/fan noise???

Well… after an apparent replacement by the dealership the fan is making the same noise again. Either nothing was done the first time or the second one needs replaced?

Crappy man, empathize your struggle.
Maybe I'm a psychopath but I've been known to mark components in an inconspicuous way before dealer visits.. If I know the component obviously. Doesn't help you now I realize but maybe just a laugh at my expense

I am thinking about just purchasing an aftermarket fan clutch and installing it or having someone install it. The Mopar one is back ordered indefinitely!

I found the reason for the noise today. It is the fan blade shroud. You can push on the outside of the shroud next to the metal bracket and the noise will go away. There is a vibration in the shroud causing the rattle. I am not sure how to fix it yet but at least I know it is not the fan clutch.

Nice, thank you, I'll take a look at mine this weekend to devise a possible way of addressing this.

I'm facing the same problem as yours did you find a solution?

Funny thing, after posting that, I couldn't replicate the sound any longer. I suspect it was due to it becoming warmer so I've been waiting on cooler temperatures to see if it will start again. If so, I'll post what I find.
