How is this cover? Does it leak while driving in the rain. I know I can get It less than half the $695 price at home but if I pick up the truck at MD I may have 2 other people with me and would have to keep luggage back there in the bed. It will be a 1600 journey and I’m sure I’ll save mpg too with the cover.

I got the OEM tri-fold tonneau cover. I like it for that exact reason, sliding luggage in and out while traveling, keeping a couple of plastic containers with various items (jumper cables, air pump, tow strap, emergency light, etc.) stowed in there, small tool box. When the truck is locked it is locked, so reasonably secure. I have not had trouble with it leaking except a little bit near the tailgate when I run it through a high pressure car wash. Not bad for $695 and it gets the job done.

Thank you. Just want I wanted to hear. Just a little leak with high pressure so rain should be fine.

Where can you get one for 1/2 price?

Tyger Auto T3 Soft Tri-Fold Truck Bed Tonneau Cover

$284

This one is for the 2001 Silverado I have now.

I can’t take something this size on the plane when I go to pick it up. But need something to cover the bed on the long ride home.

aw makes sense. You could talk to the salesman and see if you could have the tyger shipped there and have it waiting for you.

I bought/received a (2022) 2500 Limited Longhorn w/RamBoxes. I ordered the OEM tri-fold cover. A heads up... if you order the OEM tri-fold, you will also get the “black” rails (black anodized aluminum extruded rails) that are attached to the side bed rails. The OEM tri-fold uses these rails to clamp to. The rails also provide a channel to hold the adjustable side cleats (part of the cargo management system?). After I received the truck, I wanted a tonneau that was more secure. As I looked for a more secure replacement, hard roll-backs, hard tri-folds… the few tonneaus I found require the “silver” rail... which is very different from the black rail. The silver rail comes with the truck by default, unless you order the OEM cover. None of the aftermarket’s would work on the “black” rail, that I could find. You can swap out the black rail for the silver, but OEM silver rails are about $300. What I eventually did was keep the black rails and bought a Diamond Back HD hard/lockable cover (love it) that I believe works with both black or silver rail systems. Anyway, ordering the OEM tri-fold changes the bed rails. That may cause problems if you decide to use a different tonneau brand later on.

The one for my Silverado is the soft tri fold. Easy on easy off. So are these rails screwed down to the bed rails? I never had a hard cover before.

If the cover is just fine like cas said I don’t see the need to change to another brand. As long as the rails for the cover don’t protrude too much into the bed to get in the way of the rotation of the pin box.

Ran the factory tri-fold on multiple trucks, and they performed well. A little water can get in on the edges of the tailgate, but very little

Had no leaks with my OEM cover from rains. From using the pressurewasher, yes. But not from rains or while driving.

The rails don’t protrude into the bed and will not effect rotation of the pin box. I know some want a hard cover for more security, which I understand, but the OEM soft trifold locks with the tailgate and is secure enough for me. I figure if they want to get in enough to cut through the fabric they would probably pry a hard cover up.
