For the life of me I cannot find an online tool to help me determine what max or larger tire size (larger than stock LT245/70r17) that I can fit on my stock tradesmen 17” x 7.5” wide rim. I’d like to find a tire 33-35” that has comparable load/tow specs and capability. Any input would be appreciated. I’m unsure if or what specs would work for the stock wheel.

I know a couple guys back home with 295/70R17's. Both say they don't have any rubbing. From an online tire size calculator, that would put you at 33.3"X11.6". My guess would be as long as you keep the aspect at 70 you will be OK, but if you try to get wider you will start getting some rubbing.

I constantly check customwheeloffsets.com and use their “gallery” section and enter the specs I want (2019, ram, 2500, stock suspension, 17” wheel, no rubbing, no cutting) and then search their galleries and find some trucks that have done it. The offset isn’t perfect but it gives you a reference point. My co worker is currently running Nitto Ridge Grappler 33x12.5R17 on his oem 2019 Ram 2500 but it looks like he could potentially fit 35x12.5R17 with no issues due to the change in suspension and bigger wheel wells on the 19 HD’s. Especially considering the Carli Pintop leveling kit allows for 37x12.5R20 without rubbing.
Hope this helps. Happy hunting.

Be aware that the stock wheel has a fairly large + offset which may cause a 12.5 to rub the radius arms. See pic from Thurens website below.Screenshot_20191028-203332.jpg

Thanks for the info. It’s hard to believe that 37x12.50 with, say a +20 offset wouldn’t rub or just slightly rub on a ‘19 2500. I’ve heard that 35s on stock suspension works fine however. Interesting.

Same here, they re did that whole area. I personally love it. Where else can you run a 35” with no sort of lift.

I’m wondering if the new cjc method 315s with the +25 offset with 37x12.5r17 will fit with minimal trimming will work without a lift or level. Seems they may.
