Spotted '25 powerwagon. *edit* rebel

Test vehicles in this area 100% have "M" plates on them. That's why I always look at the plate to see if it's a M or D plate on an advanced program vehicle. Silverado EV drove around here in W/T trim and M plate for nearly two years before the RST version hit dealers lots. Same with C8 ZO6s.
Well, it’s a test vehicle or it’s not a 2025. There’s no alternative since they don’t exist outside of test fleets.

Has been discussed before - mostly a marketing gimmick .. The only similarity to a power wagon is the rear locker and Fender flares. Its basically a HD with the offroad package and rear locker.
And paint, and grill, and interior trim, and bumpers, and winch. So everything except for the sway bar and front locker, and the radius arms. From a manufacturing perspective they’re much closer than any of the other trims.

Grill is different and Winch is not included with Rebel .. you have to pay extra for it. Interior says REBEL not PowerWagon .. I'll give you the bumpers are same .. :)

Winch isn’t included on the PW anymore either.

Crazy .. I do see on the 2025 order Guide you do seem to have to order the PW LEVEL 1 Package to get a winch .. The Tradesman PW package is still $7995 and still incudes the winch .

Yeah, I agree it’s crazy. The winch was also optional on the 2024 PW.

On the 2024 build page .. you must select Level 1 when you select to buiid a PW .. initially there is no winch in the picture of the PW .. but when you select to build it LEVEL 1 gets auto selected and the winch shows up .. so even though its not standard .. you cannot order a PW without a winch it seems - so it becomes standard part of PW build . or is that a bug on the build page.

Build page bug. I can’t find it now, but someone posted up pictures from a dealer’s site of a ‘24 PW with no winch.

Spotted again, the 4 spec headlights are different enough from the outgoing 4 ball headlights of the limited that it is noticeable from a 1/4 mile away. Enjoy this crappy before sunrise pict!

Just want to point out the bumpers are **** if it's a rebel or regular power wagon. It should be illegal for them to call it steel. More like steal. I just replaced my rear with a real bumper and am very happy now. I tapped a pole with the stock bumper and thought I may have scratched it. It was destroyed or at least too damaged to fix. The steel is very thin.

Factory bumpers on all vehicles are designed to deform in order to absorb energy in an impact. If the bumper were stronger then all the force of impact would go to the attachment points and frame. Yes, in some situations it means you damaged a bumper when if it were stronger there'd have been no damage to anything, but in most situations it's preventing frame replacement, or absorbing energy that would go to the occupants in a hard crash.

I understand but I did not hit the pole, I bumped it. My wrangler has the hard rock package, so steel bumpers. They are not as strong as my new bumper on my ram but they would have maybe gotten a scratch. When I replaced the bumper on my ram, I was telling a friend how flimsy they were and picked it up with one hand shook it over my head. Believe me, they are more plastic than metal. I am not upset about it and my new bumper is pretty cool.

I was going to say, I have banged my bumpers a number of times. I feel like they are a good compromise on thickness. Ineos bumpers are a bit stronger, but folks complain they are not strong enough either. Despite my wife and 15 year old really testing them, LOL. Not sure I really want a rock crawler bumper right off the bat, as you sacrifice a lot of weight. I would love to see an update in shape for more off road worthy appearance and clearance. But not sure how much extra weight I want to see.

What does your step look like from the side?

Spotted a 2025 white cummins rebel today. I75 south @ bristol rd. It blew my doors off with the additional 60hp and two gears. So, no time to fumble up the phone for a pic. Standard resident plate on this one too. Wonder what's taking the social influencers so long to get a manufacturer plate one to review? Wonder why these ones I've seen on the road haven't been reviewed?

They are being reviewed. There’s an embargo and the reviewers aren’t allowed to discuss them yet.
