1/15 EDIT IT'S A REBEL!

Last night at dusk, spotted a black PW with standard MI resident plate on it. In Fenton MI at about 5:30. How does a regular guy have this truck and all media is quiet about it? I will say the 4 speck headlights were really underwhelming, and the overly busy grill was passible in black on black. Also, I miss the double bar DRLs.

You sure that was a '25? The PW with the Level 2 package has had a single bar + 4 squares for DRLs (signature lighting, technically) since '22.

It had the center rectangle "autopilot" thing as well as all the other new lines in the grille. Just makes me wonder why the guy who is driving it is so quiet about it. As far as pics, it is a black on black truck at night. Close your eyes, and that's what a picture taken at that moment would look like.

I’m sure it’s a test vehicle. Just not registered to the manufacturer.

Grill, headlights, new radar, entirely new electrical architecture, etc.

Oh yes, radar. Not sure I am ready for that stuff in a Power Wagon. Not sure how others feel about it? Worth it?
The current trucks have radar if you have adaptive cruise control/collision detection, it’s just in the windshield. They’re moving it down to the grill so it can see pedestrians and smaller vehicles.

Of course not. Just was trying to understand what they were testing so much. Did not realize that all that was going to be standard. My 2018 is very basic from that stand point. Hell, I am still getting used to punching the Auto Start button through the dash every time I climb into our new Ineos, or company Ford van.

But what are they testing so much if no engine changes? How the ugly grill and headlights work?
What do you mean by “no engine changes”? I was under the impression the 6.7 has gone through several significant changes for 2025? A new head, turbo, intake, glow plugs, iron block construction and even a new trans. I’d think that requires major testing. Of course I’m assuming the Cummins is going in the PW. It shows as an option on the order sheet for 2025.

Cummins is and never was an option in the PW. If you see a stickered PW, it's a Hemi.

The Rebel was released with a Cummins option 2023 but lacks the option of a winch and front locker.

But they are considered a PW Rebel according to the window sticker.

Our 2016 Ram 2500 Tradesman 4x4 Power Wagon 6.4L has a disconnecting front sway bar for increase off-road articulation. I wouldn't have thought that the Rebel with the 6.7L would have quite the room as a 6.4L for it. We have a 2014 Ram 2500 4x4 6.7L Cummins and a Ram 3500 4x4 6.7L Cummins. That would be neat engineering marvel if it was available for the Cummins.

Has been discussed before - mostly a marketing gimmick .. The only similarity to a power wagon is the rear locker and Fender flares. Its basically a HD with the offroad package and rear locker.

Marketing gimmick or not it’s still technically a trim variant of the PW.

Test vehicles in this area 100% have "M" plates on them. That's why I always look at the plate to see if it's a M or D plate on an advanced program vehicle. Silverado EV drove around here in W/T trim and M plate for nearly two years before the RST version hit dealers lots. Same with C8 ZO6s.

Our Rural Area Sheriff in Western Colorado has a fleet of five (5) Power Wagons per their website. The Ranger Law Enforcement uses Power Wagons too for vehicles. They are equipped with 35 inch tires. So is our PW with no running boards due to our deep snow and rough roads where we reside. It's probably for marketing to keep 33 inch tires on the 2025 Power Wagon, so that more potential buyers within urban areas can get into the truck easier. It's not for show, but for function in this rural region of the Rockies and the Colorado Plateau. If the 2025's could fit a 37 inch spare underneath that would be an improvement.
