Whats eveyone using to fix their speedo and adjust their TPMS senors? I know theres Alpha, Tazer, anything else? Im not sure if im confident enough to tackle it with those.

Im needing the same information. Getting 35's put on in a couple days with a max PSI of 65.

The Rough Country Speedometer Calibrator works great but it's speedo only. I'm running my Nitto Ridge Grapplers at 54 without tripping the TPMS and the ride is great at that PSI.

As you mentioned, AlphaOBD. It's a worthwhile investment if you ever need to make any BCM changes too.

The only goofy part is having to do the ABS initialization afterwards. Otherwise all the FCW, lane sense, etc. and ABS goes nuts.

I'm also unable to clear codes with it so I use Torque for that. Kind of a PITA to switch between them as Torque background task has to be killed.

$150 for a single use trinket, that's can only be used on a single vehicle?

Ouch. KaodTech cable is $50 (or build your own), AlphOBD is $49, $22 for an ELM327 OBDII reader but you could spend more.

$150 is nothing, its simple. Im not confident in using the alpha and didnt want to **** **** up and aev corrected the two things i needed. I spent $2500 on wheels and tires, $3000 on a lift, I could go on. Ill make $150 back in 2 hours at work haha

Any feedback after install? I tried to adjust for tire size on my truck this morning and am getting error code 105. Now when I turn the truck on I get errors for 4wd, traction control and ABS. I haven't driven anywhere yet and the instructions that came with the snap just say to call AEV customer service. I don't need the truck this weekend so I'll call AEV on Monday. Just trying to find out if anyone successfully has used this yet. It seems fairly new to the market.

I got through to AEV tech support and it was a pretty easy fix. User error on my part but all is well now. I haven't driven much but the speedo seems to be right on with 37's. I was about 7 mph off before. It will be nice to not only have the speedo correct but more importantly the odometer. You can also change the TPMS threshold and gear ratio with the pro-cal.

Just ordered mine cant wait to correct the issues! i have alphaobd but its to hard or no one is forsure how to make sure on the steps

Use "Program Tire Size" and select your tire or input the circumference in mm.

If the truck throws a code, run the ABS INIT procedures and clear codes.

man if you can go step by step i could understand. But i dont even know where to start looking at for the program tire size. Please feel free to write a how too, that would help alot of people out. Im new to the ram world, very new.

Are they 35s? At 54 psi there's no warning lights?

Yeah Nitto Ridge Grappler 35x12.50r17. You have to lose 20% to trip the warning light so under 48 in the fronts and under 52 in the rears. The only thing to watch for is cold air pressure drop as once you trip the alert you have to fill all the way back up to 60 front and 65 rear to clear the warning.

Thank you so much, this is a great help! I will be having the same setups soon. Is it safe to run the Nitto Ridge Grappler at 50psi in the front and 55psi out back (do those numbers exceed the maximum ratings)

Thank you again

Max pressure is 65 on the Nittos. They don't start to get a little soft until the lower 40s IMO.

Do you recall the steps you had to do to correct this issue? I had the same issue arise and would rather not wait till Monday. Thanks!

It is easy to resolve, I had same issue first time. Once paired correctly run through the instructions as stated, just look at the smaller print below, I think something about the brake light flashing on dash, if that happens release all buttons and brake pedal.
Then it honks and the errors go away.
Seems to be dependent on where you plug in on the star connector. First place I tired threw other errors and would no allow pairing, after moving it paired immediately but then had all the failures possible setting tire size. After re-reading instruction on the release it worked and had no issue on the TPMS settings

I will say that AEV support has always been great and they will stay on the phone with you if needed working through these steps

Follow the instructions exactly. I think I held the combination of buttons too long. I'd have to pull the instructions back out but it says something like hold them for two seconds and then release. If you go longer than the specified time you will get the errors. Good luck, this stuff always happens on the weekend.
