Small Cracks in Headlights

I have a 2022 Ram 2500 limited with about 5400 miles on it. This is my 3rd Ram 2500 in the last 10 years. I recently noticed small cracks in the headlights. At odd angles I will put up some pics this weekend when I get the truck back. The dealership said Ram won’t cover under warranty. They only cover manufacture defects. The dealership says it LOOKS like rock chips. Now there are absolutely no chips in the headlight or anywhere on the front end! Not a scratch. No divots I the lights. I’m on hold with Ram customer service right as I type this, and my service adviser just texted me, that they would re submit the claim, her words are I’ve made a good point of there being absolutely no front end damage at all! But some how magically rocks have strategically hit with precision juts both headlights. Now I can’t explain how these got there but it wasn’t hit from somewhere. So I do I have any recourse with Ram in getting these covered?

EDIT: Here is the update to this issue, So when the truck was at Chapman Dodge in Las Vegas, they denied the repair. They then sent digital images to ram and they denied. I went back and forth with them and they said they would have the district manager look at them, I told them he really needs to look at the headlights, they said no the pics will be fine. He immediately denied it. So I contacted ram who now cannot handle warranty's over the phone through customer service. I opened a case which they were absolutely no help at all. They told me I had to bring the truck back to the dealership, so I asked them to transfer the case to another dealership here in Vegas. Prestige Ram. They contacted me and said the district manager will be there at 1 certain date, could I drop the truck off? So I did this, but asked too be present when he showed up. I get a call later in the day from the service manager and he says "I didn't know the DM already denied this!" I told him yea thats why I wanted to be present! He says well he looked at them and agreed yea this was a manufacture defect and they would replace them! It's a shame I have to jump through hoops to make them do their job! Ive owned a 01,04,07.5,16,19,22 Ram and will be looking at other options if this is how they are doing business now!

IMG_2874.jpegIs it possible there is a clear bra type of material applied on the housings and that’s what’s cracking?
No. I ordered the truck from Ram. So there is nothing on the headlights. Here are some pics. IMG_2875.jpeg

Here are the pics. I’m gonna say they look like rock chips, but for them to be you would have to have impact damage. The lens is smooth and there is no rock chip damage on the front end or near the housing and truck body.

Have you ever used hand sanitizing or medical equipment sanitizing wipes or spray to clean bugs, etc off of them? I have seen where they have done similar damage to plastic gauges on equipment panels when used.

Yeah, those are definitely cracks. Very strange indeed.

No I haven’t used anything like that.

You have a limited you said , didn,t they come with HIDs could the cracks come from too much heat maybe, just a thought i guess. I don,t see any impact marks from rocks ? they look like a stress crack, I,d harp on Ram till the replaced them

I nor the dealership has any idea what caused the cracks. They have are micro cracks. The dealership flat out refuses to do anything about it, so ram is sending me to another dealership and now that they are involved we will see. The headlights will have to be sent to FCA I’m assuming

The higher trim level lighting is all LED. Standard on Laramie and above, optional on Big Horn via the LED exterior lighting group.

While LEDs do generate significant heat, it’s not at the light source itself like an HID (ie; the ‘bulb’ doesn’t get hot).

By chance a ex-wife or ex-girlfriend with a torch?…or a ex-wife’s ex-girlfriend ?

Looks like they were hit by something not heat cracking. Have any enemy's?
