2019 BigHorn Cummins Special Order for me and it’s the same! Terrible! Unacceptable really. Sure not what I expected for a 70k truck. Now mines in the shop for a diesel particulate heater sensor and a plethora of other issues! Sorry that I ever bought this thing now!

68rfe or Aisin?

It's flaring so it doesn't destroy the transmission. You can't just take 850lb ft + of torque and throw it down immediately (especially in a 68RFE) without consequences.

.

Yeah I just had a 2021 dually with it for a few days as a rental. I thought it was okay, but then test drove a 21 Ford 350 with the 10 speed and it’s really not even a contest, despite what others say on here. I’m not saying the 68rfe is bad, just that it feels out of date for the price tag.

Couldn’t agree more brother!!! If the constant troubles persist I will be unloading for a 21 GMC like my sons. Sure is deflating that I don’t even feel proud of driving what still feeds me a pension check. Like I said they are better than this! Not sure where they’re getting truck if the year?

Probably for the interiors. I agree they’re the best in the business for that one. I felt the Ford was more comfortable. The larger cab dimensions and I’m not just talking about the backseat. Telescopic steering, etc. The 2022s will have the 12” screen with Sync 4, so I believe it will compatible or better than what we have with Uconnect. The interior still is pretty lame though in the Ford.

I’d like to hear about your other issues with it too.
Terrible grinding noise in the tranny at 25-30mph when driving through town, the whole cab mount issue with the terrible rattling and something is loose in either the dash or headliner on the drivers side as well as having to keep the steering wheel turned to the left to keep the truck straight or it drifts to the right very noticeably. Now we have a diesel particulate heater sensor that has caused the engine light to come on. It’s just been one thing after the other with this truck since day one and the only thing that the selling dealer has gotten fixed was the recall issues. Hope the new dealer I’m taking it to on Thursday will get the issues fixed! Coming up on two years I’ve had these issues! I’m so over it!

They desperately need to dump the 68RFE and the Aisin for one reliable, up-to-date HD transmission that is competitive.

Like an Allison Transmission FCA’s engineers are capable of designing such a tranny like the Ally and I know Kokomo Transmission Plant can BUILD it
