On a 2020 Ram 2500 hemi with the stock suspension what’s the best way to soften the side to side rocking at low speeds? The options I have though of are and I think are in order of whi to try first:
1. Disconnect front sway bar (longterm = #2)
2. Thuren sway bar
3. Different shocks
4. Different springs

Had the same issue with my 2022. Switched suspension and problem solved

My wife thinks I only have 3 guns

The first change I made to my 3500 was installing a Thuren front sway bar. It made a significant difference. No more side to side rocking and the entire suspension both front and rear feel like they are working now. After that I swapped the front shocks to Bilstein 5100's. Still waiting for the backordered rears but the they firmed up the front which had a little bounce with the stock shocks. I like the way the truck feels now. Next is tires but not for ride just because.

I'm having a similar issue, but only in certain conditions.

'21 Power wagon with 35x12.50 17's on OEM rims. 45/37 PSI. Now have 24K miles on the truck.

Normal driving with no load, everything is fine.

Did a Baja trip with 100G of gas in the bed and pulling at 6K old military "Bouncing Betty" trailer. Everything was good.

Second trip, similar setup but also had 3 40" race tires in the bed. In the states, I was fine, but on the highways in Baja, I got the sway. A few times it got so bad that it triggered the stability control, shut of power and almost thru me thru the windshield. Speeds varied from 55 to 75. Speed didn't really seem to matter. Sometimes when it would sway bad, I could tap the brakes and it would settle out.

Third tip last weekend, Only had a fuel pressure tank, empty and bunch of camping gear. Not really overloaded. Truck got the sway, but never tripped the stability control.
Had 2 buddies drive the truck and even they could feel it.

It has never happened while driving on roads in the states. Only started happening in Baja on the same roads I always drive, and some new ones. Never had it happen in my Blazer or my F250 down there. Weird part is it didn't happen on the first trip down to Baja with the PW.

So trying to figure out where the problem may be and what a fix is that won't affect driving in the states.

Tires? Shocks? Track bar? Springs?

I do remember CJC I believe said that the track bar bushings would wear out fast and It would be advisable to swap to the Thuren track bar at some point.

Any ideas?

My issue is at low speed, but I can see how it could be an issue at speed.

I have about just over 68,000 miles on my truck.

Asked CJC.
Their reply was stiffer sidewalls, higher tire pressure and Thuren rear sway bar. At least to start with.
Said they see it happen in a lot of RAM 2500s

I unhooked (wire tied it up) my front sway bar today and it softened the side to side rocking, but didn’t get rid of it.

I did not notice any issues while driving on winding road, so that’s good.

I may try some Bilsten 5100 shocks next since I have +68k miles on the factory shocks.

You will not get rid of it completely thats just the nature of a HD truck. Join the no sway bar club its much better! I have been doing it since the early 90s on my solid axle vehicles
