Shuttering problem ???

I'm not sure this is the the right forum but I've been
searching about an hour so here it goes. About a few weeks
ago my 2020 2500 Cummins started shuttering when first taking off
(backing and pulling forward).
Now when you pull out straight it doesn’t do it but when your turning and take off it does it almost ever time. It
kinda of sounds like when your in 4X4 mode and drive
on pavement and the front wheels slips when turning.
Anyone with the same or similar problem? I
Owned a 4th gen 2017 Cummins and never felt this issue before and any input would
be appreciated.

i haven't felt anything like what you are describing in my truck. Have you tried engaging then disengaging the 4WD to see if something might be currently stuck or hung in 4WD?

It sounds like something is up with the anti-spin LSD in the rear end what you describe is exactly what will happen if there is an issue with the clutches

Will look into it… will it cause any harm if not taken care of right away ?

Not really its just slipping clutches, have you changed the fluid in the rear end at all? If you did you need to add some friction modifier in aswell to keep the clutches from slipping

The truck only has 33k miles on it, so I have not changed the fluid

So this morning I disabled the hill holder thru the radio, but I wasn’t able to really tell bc I had a ******* tailgating me this morning, so when I leave to go home from work I will try to replicate the problem as I always do…. See what happens

Hill assist holds the brakes when you go to take off it should not affect your issue but worth a try

I had this happen on my tacoma years ago after a service, the didn't put the additive in. Thought I was going to fall apart till.

How much friction modifier is needed ? And what brand of fluid do you recommend ? All Mopar ?
