Shifting from Park

I typically park my HD in my driveway, which has a slight elevation, and I have to kinda pull hard to get it out of park. It’s not stuck in park, it’s just not as smooth to shift our of park like when the truck is level in a parking lot.
I’ve tried all different combinations prior to shutting off the truck to no avail. I’m just curious if this is normal behavior for a HD transmission.

When parking , put truck in neutral and then Try pushing down the hand brake all the way. The truck shouldn’t move. Then place the truck in park. When you try to put it in drive you shouldn’t have a problem now. Had the same issue btw.

yes. use the ebrake to keep it out of a bind, or engage reverse before park.
