Hello, I'm new to the group. I have two Ram diesels and both have a problem when first put into reverse. The act like they are going to stall out when put in reverse first thing in the morning. They shake similar to if you let a clutch out to quickly on a manual transmission except these are automatics. Has anyone else had this issue? We took one truck into the dealer and they did a relearn and couldn't duplicate the problem. Once I got it out it started doing the same thing. It's definitely an intermittent problem since it's not every day. Was hoping someone else has gone through this and has a fix. Please help

Are you letting it warm up? I can make mine do it in the cold when i go to move it without warming it up for a couple of seconds

Just had mine in the shop for the same issue. Wish I had better news, but clutches, valve body an ABS sensor and 27 days later, I have it back. The good news is the reverse is nice and smooth so far. Hopefully you've already resolved this by now.

Check the Problems and TSB forum.

You don't show what year or engine/trans but there are some performance TSB that help the cold idle.

Any updates? 2500 miles later my reverse is on the outs again. Taking it back in next week. This is beyond frustrating.
