Service Trailer System message

Have a question for everyone. Just got a 2025 Ram 2025 and truck is going back in to the dealer for the 3rd time with system messages as well as check trailer wiring messages. No, didn’t have anything in tow. So now they have to open up a ticket with Ram engineering to resolve. Was told could take a day, a week, or a month. Question is has anyone had to go down this route and was engineering able to resolve the issue or no resolution?

Never had the message without a trailer connected, but I did have the issue with my new trailer. Ended up being two shorts on the trailer wiring. One was unused wires laying where the ramps stow, and the other was in one of the brakes.

I'd pull out the bundle of trailer wires behind the rear bumper and make sure none are pinched or damaged before handing off to the dealer. Could be a simple fix.

Also take a look inside the cavities where the trailer connects. Maybe something obvious in there. Like someone shoved some tinfoil in there as a prank etc.

So on 2nd dealership visit, trailer wiring harness was completely replaced. Got 1/4 mile down the road and got the message again. So yeah, in for a third time. Was told this time it’s a faulty brake controller, which is on back order. However, I think it’s a bigger issue as a few people in this forum had the same thing happen, same things replaced, and still having issues. I say it’s a bigger issue because my dealer gave me a new 2025 Ram 1500 Limited, fully loaded, with 80 miles on it. Throws a Service Trailer System messages every time it starts up. Now over the last 2 days, truck is throwing a Service Parking Brake System message. Either I have a black cloud over my head or Ram has some issues going on.
