My 2020 Ram 3500 Longhorn has been in for service 7 times because the “service trailer brake system, service electronic stability control plus several other warnings have come on. Each time they fix something and within weeks and sometimes days the warning is back. Has anyone had a similar problem and if so what was done about it?

Check the under hood grounds just in front of the driver side battery. Also, Amy other ground points. If it's just the trailer brake warning, it might be your trailer. My truck actually gave me that warning intermittently with one of my trailers and I found a wire in the trailer axle that had worn out to a short.

I know the grounds under the hood will cause wierd issues because I loosened them one day for something else I was messing with and I got a series of fault messages when I cycled the ignition on and forgot to tighten the grounds first. I tightened the grounds and had to clear the codes.

Also, check that all the fuses in the fuse box are fully seated/pushed in.

Thanks for the info, I’ll check out the grounds. I don’t think it’s the trailer because the warnings come on even if the trailer isn’t hooked up.

Thanks for the info. I’ll check the grounds and the fuses.

My eco diesel threw that code when towing our TT. I swapped hitch to curt as the factory half ton hitch got whopped out from expansion joints. After new hitch it went away. Wasn’t the intent to fix the brake issue with the hitch but I guess I’m grounding better now. My trailer brakes seemed to always work even with the warning I just think the monitor is a little too sensitive. We just got a CTD If the code comes up again and I can’t get it to ground through 7 pin properly I plan to add a ground strap of some kind between trailer and truck.

I have a 2010 3500 I left the keyfob on last night as i was checking the trailer lights. i forgot to turn it off. this morning the both batteries were dead . I charged them both all day to 100 percent. the trailer service light came on and i cant figure out why. no trailer hooked up dither
