Service DEF system

On my 2019 - 3500, the check engine light and service DEF system light both came on at 2,300 miles. I'm also getting the "5mph soon" warning as well but I'm completely full on DEF. Has anyone else run into this issue at this low of miles?received_1204202516431169.jpeg
 
What does your DPF restriction gauge show? Have you seen it go into regen at any point? Sounds like possibly an issue with the DEF injector???

At the time it said it was in the regen process. Once it finished, the gauge read 0 but all lights stayed on.
 
Out of curiosity, had you just added DEF when this happened, or was it a while?
 
I assume the DEF looked crystal clear, and the date code was current? Short of pulling a sample and testing it with a refractometer, not sure. These do have the means to sense DEF concentrations out of range, but I think it will give a DEF Quality warning before giving the de-rate warning.

I had the same issue back in march mine was a broken wire by the battery box perhaps yours will be an easy fix like that perhaps not
 
I’ve had this issue before when I filled the DEF with the truck running. It ended up pulling air bubbles in the line I think (throwing the message). It “recalibrated” and turned the message off with about 15 miles left on the countdown. I was going to let it get to 10 then visit the dealer.
 
I had the same message pop up open mine when it had 1700kms on it, injection pump needed to be replaced, thankfully one was a few towns over and had my truck back in 2 days, heard some horror stories and some are on this forum of users waiting weeks and months to their new trucks back…good luck and fingers crossed its something simple !!
