Pearl White paint, noticed what appears to be rust spots that show up in paint. Is there enough metallic flakes in the paint that causes this? I'm thinking it's a paint issue because the spots show up in the flares as well.

Try a metal fallout spray or fallout wash before clay barring. If it doesn't come out with the product then clay bar it.
There are many good quality companies that sell the metal fallout products.
If your truck is waxed then you will have to reapply it.
Edit: I used Sonax with good results or I hear that the Car Pro Trix is very good as well

Thanks everyone! Truck is a 22 and noticed these same spots last year and we're easy to scrape off with light pressure of my finger nail. Today was my first detailed hand wash for this year and there are even more rust spots than last year. Paid the dealership good money when the truck was delivered for ceramic coating which leads me to believe they did no paint correction and probably sprayed a quick detailer of some sort on the truck. My nephew actually has some Adams iron remover I will will try out and start the ceramic process all over again.

I ended up having access to CarPro iron remover and did a small test area, it looked like it was plum crazy purple when it started doing its job. Going to be a process taking care of this situation, truck looks like it has the measles on the bottom half. Might end up looking into a a detailer for paint correction and sealing.

Do you work/ live or park near any place that fabricates metal stuff? It’s amazing how far sparks fly
Truck is not exposed to any nearby metal work manufacturing. The only thing it is exposed to is all the dust from the gravel roads where I park for work, my truck sits there Monday thru Friday, I work on the road all week and have an assigned work truck I use during the week. It is just disturbing seeing all the rust freckles in the paint on a truck that sees very limited use, just turned 5,000 miles.

Used iron remover yesterday, bought Advance & O'Reillys completely out. Ended up with 2 Adams, 2 Maguires and 2 Turtle Wax bottles. Was a pretty cool process, I'm fortunate to have a wash bay where I work which made it pretty easy. Turtle Wax seemed to perform the best.

Clay bar next weekend.

Did the clay bar today, new to the process and watched a lot of YouTube videos. Wasn't to bad and paint didn't seem to be too contaminated. Used Chemical Guys OG bars and Meguires waterless wash that made the surfice more than slick enough. As I was doing this project I kept thinking why did I buy such a big truck then lift it and put 37's on it.

Not seeing the rust spots anymore, now I have to deal with the hail damage from last night. Crazy weather we have been getting here in Nebraska sucks.
