Roll up or tri-fold tonneau?

I installed a BAK Revolver X4S today. I've used tri-fold, roll up and hard covers. This roll up is more of a "hard" roll up in that it has aluminium slats covered in vinyl. I like that it doesn't use velcro.

It was easy to install and I like the matte finish. I tow a fifth wheel and this type of cover seems to work best for me.

I asked in the other thread, but will ask again. I’ve been a hard tri fold man for years. I’ve owned 4. These type roll ups have caught my interest as i have 22 on order and amd my current BakFlip MX4 will not transfer over due to my new one coming with RamBoxes. So, I’ll have to find another. Love the BakFlip brand as im on my 2nd MX4. My questions are: Can you only ride with it in fully closed or fully opened position (no half way closed)? Do you feel the seals are about the same as the hard folding? What made you go with X4S vs X2? Thanks for time!
