so i see many people buy rock guards for $250-$400 to protect their fifthwheels and campers.
I thought that was a tad costly so i baught 1"X1/4" channel iron, a class 3-class 2 adaptor and rubber mud flaps from a loacal store, maybe $80
some welding and this is the end result. they worked great and i used as a step to get into the bed, now ill add tail gate lights to the bar for just a bit more lighting..rock guards.jpg

Time/Money/Knowledge.... take your pick.

Nice I like the full length on yours I may add some rubber to mine.
this one is just for the fifthwheel so I added led brake tail turn signal bar to it

Ya we have many miles of gravel roads before we reach pavement. Steel trailers and tailgates get destroyed very quickly.

Welders are a good investment. Up here in Canuck dollars a dirt skirt can cost easily $400 to $600.

Welding is one of those skills that was taught when I was in school way back when. Not saying I am “certified”, but my stuff doesn’t fail either. It is truly, one of the skills I am thankful to have learned.
