Resonator Delete

I just bought my 3rd Ram, 24 2500 with 6.4. Love it except it’s to quiet. Now I don’t want obnoxious loud but would like to hear it running. I searched all options, muffler delete, duals, flowmaster, magma flow, etc. All were kinda pricey and louder than I wanted. Over Christmas break I got out the saws all and cut the resonator off. Sounds great, not to loud, no drone and fairly quiet at cruse but has a nice rumble when you get on it. Sooo I made a custom tail pipe. 45 degree mandrel bend and added a short down turn. Completely hidden from view unlike that huge POS resonator. Only took $100 and about an hour of labor. Hope this helps others.

You did a good job.

Can you post a video with it at various rpms (idle, highway speed {in cab and outside} and at speed with the MDS active in cab)?

Well it’s been almost a week since I did the new tail pipe and I must say, I’m extremely pleased with the results. Cruise speeds in cab windows up is only slightly more noticeable than before. Windows down on a freeway on ramp it has a nice throaty tone.
I tried to make three videos as you requested but results not as good as I hoped for. Mostly operator error I’m sure. Two were on the highway with windows up and one was outside start up. Hope you can get an idea from them, as I said, this turned out to be exactly what I wanted. My neighbor thinks I should make and sell them. LOL.

Well, I can’t get the video to post. They are in my photos on my phone but when I click o “attach files” it only shows photos no videos even though they are there.
