I need to replace the winch line on my 2020 PW. The pervious owner routed it under the crossmember and frayed it enough to worry me. I don't do any hard-core anything with it and have been using it gingerly but it's time to be proactive.

Not sure I want to pay the Warn price for a replacement but also not sure on the Badlands. Just knowing me, I'm pretty hard on things too so I don't want to invest in another Warn if I'm going to be replacing it continuously. Is a frayed Warn better than a cheaper replacement? I'm looking at the ASR 3/8x75 but not sure on the end it requires or if the enhanced with the coating is worth it.

I'm also not exactly sure on the exact Warn OEM P/N to compare these to. Is the Spydura apples to apples to other 3/8 lines?

Throw other brands out there. I'm not opposed to the Badlands if it's one of those HF gems.

…the HF ropes work fine but when needed I will be getting a Freedom rope.
a splice repair could be made on yours if the fraying is toward the end, maybe?

ASR Offroad is legit. The hard dipped eye is awesome—you don’t need a hook, just hook the eye on the fairlead or wedge it in the fairlead, and the connect shackles (soft shackles are also great) to that, and you can have a system with no potential metal projectiles
Or buy bulk Samson Amsteel, Factor55 FastFid and learn to splice (it’s pretty easy and helpful to know how)

How frayed is your factory line? Fuzzy is ok, but damaged strands is an indicator to replace(or shorten the line if it’s near the end)

Here is what I've got. It's about 20' in so I can use most of it as an extension after I replace so not a complete loss. I have a Fast FiD, just always thought of it as a temporary repair or is it more long term?

2019+ are all synthetic.

If you have a fid and know how to use and and do a splice and weave it in, it will be stronger.
Look at ships lines, that's how they do the eyes on the lines that go over the Ballard's on the pier to hold the ship in place.
From experience, my ship parted 12 lines when she lurched forward. Not a single eye splice parted. Sounded like a bunch of shotguns going off. This was 4 inch lines on a 9000 ton ship.

I only have used mine twice since new (2019)...It broke pulling out a shrub for my Son yesterday, it looked liked yours plus had paint on it...from the Dealer Body Shop...smh
Pretty sure they won't replace it
The thinners and chemicals in the paint likely compromised the line.

To the OP
Personally i have had no issue with amazon special winch ropes even when maxing out the winch.
