How close do you have to be to your truck for the remote start to work? I have to be within about 35 yards. Doesn't give it much time to warm up or cool down. Lock and un-lock work from much further out.

Also, I have noticed that the heated wheel and seats only come on with remote start if the temperature is below about 35F

My remote start worked quite a ways out (50+ yds) when the truck was new. However, as of late, remote starting appears to be getting rather finicky. Sometimes ok but other times nuthin. And the range is definitely decreased. Gonna pop a new battery in the FOB this week just fer sh_ts and giggles.

Sitting in my office and through the glass, I can get my remote start to work at 100+ yards. Not exactly sure how far it is, but I know it's more than a football field. I've only had the truck since end of December, so the battery in the fob should be pretty fresh.

Edit: Direct line of sight of the FOB to the vehicle is critical for that to happen, I hold the fob well above my head (over vehicles) when I remote start.

I’ve had mine since September of last year and I can get mine to work outside on the back side of the house on the opposite corner. I haven’t needed line of site or had to hold the FOB any higher than my waist.

Funny, I do that all the time in my work parking lot as I park on the back row. A few people did not believe that worked. Seems I can remote start it further away than unlock the doors though.

I can start it with the UConnect app from 2000 miles away. Range seems good to me! ;)

Start mine from kitchen about 120 feet works every time nice to get in warm seat at 20 degrees
