Did you add anything to the truck? Service bite says you added remote start?
Might try another dealer, tell them to program your fob and add the sales codes for remote start and tailgate. Nothing more, nothing less.
If they are like my dealer, “they’ve never heard of that being done, they will charge $xx.xx either way” will be the speech

Of course I will. The only problem is I have to make it there before 1pm. They are open till 6 but won't take programming job after 1pm. So now I either wait till Saturday again or have to take a half day from work
Adding the sales code with the dealer tool is the same as making the changes to the BCM associated with the sales code feature with AlfaOBD. Given the grief your dealer has given you, just tell them to program the fob.
Sounds great. I'm going today again. Have to leave work at lunch time to make it there before 1pm. Hopefully they won't keep me there for almost 2 hours again. So the liftgate assistance could be activated with AlfaOBD and the button on FOB should work?
Ah, I forgot you are also going for tailgate release. There is no setting in AlfaOBD to enable or disable that feature. The AlfaOBD developer and I *believe* that it’s automatically active in the rf hub, just waiting for a command from a programmed fob that has the button for it, but we could be wrong. Tell them to add sales code JKR. If that can’t, or won’t, you might be stuck proving or disproving our theory.
Best you can do is see if it works anyway after the fob is programmed.
Hopefully they will be able to program the fob at least
