The MAF adaptation procedure is interesting. If I had the time I'd be tempted to do it with my Bank CAI to see if I could get it to stop throwing the P0402 code, however, I'd had had it on there for a good while. This might explain why our other truck that we just lived with the P0402 on hasn't thrown it in a while (Also Banks CAI). The S&B CAI has never caused the P0402 and runs well on my truck so it'll probably stay on there for the rest of its life running the dry, disposable filters with a wrap on them. Both airbox setups seem to be marginally better on my truck for sootloading than the stock airbox/filter when operating under bad conditions like when I can't steal my wifes crossover to go to dr appointments in the city and I'm stuck in traffic idling, not getting up to temp, etc. They certainly weren't worse and my truck, aside from one experiment with the EZX before I removed it, has never had an active regen that wasn't the 24 hr regen since I ditched the stock airbox/filter.
