Regens at alarming rate!

Dealers were indeed told to inform their customers that the particulate matter sensor was not installed, and that it would need to be brought back for a recall. This is the document that every buyer was supposed to be given at the time of purchase:

I signed one the day my 2022 was delivered. That was 11/30/21.

Yet again, the particulate matter sensor is not the cause of frequent regeneration cycles, nor is it the fix.
I signed it when I ordered my '22 2500. Still waiting on it too. Last recall I left to be addressed.

Same here. It’s the only recall I have open currently. Everything else has been addressed. I’ve been waiting for about 2 months now. My dealer checks regularly but there’s been no new updates. I’m sure the UAW strike didn’t help.

The truck will eventually force you to bring it in.... mine happened at 6k when it threw a code and started acting like ****. THey said it was a DPF performance code or something like that

You still waiting on a 2022 truck you ordered?
No. Sorry to confuse you. The truck took 6 months to reach the dealer after ordering. Ordered 3/31/22, I picked it up early October of 22.

No, that’s not how it works. Your dealer doesn’t sound very knowledgeable, or reliable. The truck will run perfectly fine perpetually without the PM sensor in place. The truck doesn’t know it’s missing, because it doesn’t have the software to know it’s even there. All the sensor does is monitor the exhaust to make sure the DPF is capturing soot and isn’t cracked internally. It has no bearing on regeneration, or any other emission function. I’m just shy of 40,000 miles. After I made some changes to my fuel source, the truck is running well.

Im so over it at this point and the wife wants it gone, We use it tow a toy hauler up and down the east coast and is afraid of it leaving us sit. Maybe a black friday deal on another brand at this point.

Good luck with that. You’re only trading one problem for another. Blue Ovals and Bow ties have their own issues as well.

Like i said there doesn't seem to be any dealers very knowledgeable, that's why i called a local diesel shop and he told me no ones gonna get it fixed. Been to 2 dealers so far. I was told anyone that knows diesel isnt staying at a dealership long

They’re out there but few and far between. Where are you located?

Hershey PA

My brother in law lives in FL says they have a dealership with one but hes booked out for 3 months, he has a 17 3500 with numerous issues and been trying to get it reparied

Nope.... Langhornes a solid 2 plus hours each way barring any traffic
Yeah I knew it was a drive for you. There’s a diesel tech there (or at least there was) who’s exceptionally knowledgeable. Does a considerable number of lifter replacement jobs on these trucks (which is no small task). He would be someone I would trust.

Interesting cause I don't have that form.
