"Regen In Process Continue Driving" message

What?

There is no OTA update for the ECM, this is only a radio thing.

Regen was interrupted. Your comment "less convenient but I kept the engine running" implies you have done just that - interrupted the regen. The truck is telling you not to do that. :-)
Well, I ran down a freeway, got to my destination, let it idle 3 or 4 minutes, then got back on the freeway and noted that the warning cleared before I got to my final destination and shut the truck off. In addition to the warning going away I checked the DPF graphic and it showed 'empty'. Are you saying that during a regen the driver has to keep the rpms and/or road speed above a certain value? It would be nice if the owner's manual said something about this.

The first time it happened I was able to stay on a freeway. The second time, I had to stop at a business and drop something off. I left the truck running for the 3 or 4 minutes that it took.

The truck will continue to regen for a few minutes while stopped in gear and then stop or as soon as you shift to park it stops even if it’s not complete. It will restart the process the next time you drive.

Thanks for the newfound knowledge. How is the average owner expected to know this?

It won’t regenerate if it’s sitting in park. If you left it sit in neutral with the parking brake engaged, that isn’t conducive to effective regeneration because you’re not getting sufficient flow through the system

If the system is working as intended it's passive to the driver. Just drive the truck, it's when things don't work as intended or the driving cycle isn't ideal that owners need to know more information. The forums are the best place to get the data.

Coming back from Pismo Beach a few weeks ago I got that "keep driving" msg. When we pulled off the beach in the morn to make the 5 hr drive home, I noticed on my IDash that I was at 96% and very near a 24 hr (actually a 25 hr regen for my truck, like clockwork), so I thought "this is perfect, I'll be hitting the regen on the highway while towing." Welp, as my typical crap luck would have it again, the regen started just exactly at the moment we came up on a traffic back-up on the 101N in SLO. The back-up was about 30 mins at 5mph. The regen status indicator on my IDash turned to "OFF" about 10 mins after hitting the back-up, so I thought the regen had completed regardless of the slow speed. Once we got moving again and back up to highway speed, maybe 15 mins later, the status indicator again switched to "ON" and I got the msg to "keep driving". So indeed, the traffic slowdown interrupted the regen cycle and the truck picked it up again when it assumed it was safe to do so.... but with a msg saying "hey, doofus, keep it moving, will ya?"

They are at 24 hours, not 25. The lack of a decimal point on the hour meter can make them appear like it’s more or less, but the time based regen is always 24 hours. I had them occur at anywhere from 23-26 hours on the dash hour meter.

Does the iDash have the ability to show more detailed numbers than just whole percentages?

Do you monitor EGT3 at all? If so, what was it doing during the 30 minutes in regen and traffic?
