Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2026 Ram 3500, 3500 Cab Chassis, 2500, 4500 Cab Chassis, and 5500 Cab Chassis vehicles. The instrument panel may display an incorrect brake system warning light. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Control and Displays."<br />
<br />
<b>Remedy</b><br />
<br />
Dealers will replace the instrument panel cluster, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 25, 2025. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 79C.</div>

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.FCA US LLC has decided that certain [2025 and 2026 model year (DT) Ram 1500 Pickup, (DJ) Ram 2500 Pickup, (D2) Ram 3500 Pickup, and (DD) Ram 3500 Cab Chassis] vehicles equipped with a 12" Instrument Panel Cluster fail to comply with one or more Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) Nos. 102 - Trans shift lever seq/starter interlock/trans braking effect, 135 - Light vehicle brake systems, and 105 - Hydraulic and electric brake systems.It is extremely important to take steps now to repair your vehicle to ensure the safety of you and your passengers.<br />

WHY DOES MY VEHICLE NEED REPAIRS?The 12" instrument panel cluster (IPC) on your vehicle [1] may contain software that causes the cluster to go blank at start up or while driving. A Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) may illuminate prior to IPC failure to display. An IPC that does not display critical safety information, such as the BRAKE system warning lights or gear selection indicator, can increase the risk of a crash without prior warning.</div>

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2024-2026 Jeep Wagoneer S, 2025-2026 Ram 1500 Pickup, Ram 2500 Pickup, Ram 3500 Pickup, Ram 3500 Cab Chassis, Ram 4500 Cab Chassis, Ram 5500 Cab Chassis, and 2026 Jeep Cherokee vehicles. Due to an improperly designed trailer tow module, the trailer lights may fail to illuminate and the trailer brakes may fail.<br />

<b>Remedy</b><br />

Dealers will replace the trailer tow module, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 24, 2026. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Does this recall also involve the issue when not connected to a trailer, it thinks you are by asking if it’s a gooseneck or trailer? I’ve have that several times on my 2026 Ram 2500 Big Horn.

The dealer bricked my ECU/ICP during firmware update and now my truck is down 2-4 weeks (will get a better ETA Monday when parts are ordered). So much for our camping trip next weekend. Software wise I know you can really screw up hardware during firmware updates but never would have expected hardware used for automobiles would be on the same level as the ESP32 boards I play around with for home automation junk. pretty bummed <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f641.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":(" title="Frown :(" data-smilie="3"data-shortname=":(" /></div>

Luckily it only took a little over a week to arrive and get installed vs the 2-4 estimated. I had never even thought about firmware failure causing your rig to be down till that part could get built and shipped wanted others to be aware as the dealer sure didn't mention that possibility.</div>
