Hello,

I am new to this forum and hope to get some help with the seemingly common cabin leak issue.
I purchased a new RAM 2500 and have had off and on issued with water in the cabin.
It started with water leaking at the drivers side A pillar. It now it is in the drivers side rear.
Enough water to cause mold and mildew and keep everything inside wet. Of course, the humidity level is very high.

The dealer states it is the rear window and has offered to replace at a reduced cost.
They will NOT correct any other issues branching from the original leak issue.
This includes the musty smell, interior corrosion, stained headliner and any other leaks.
Its my understanding from online searches, there could be other areas water is getting in.
Rear seals, XM antenna, rear cab break light.

Might anyone here have this same issue and have any proven remedies or recourse with RAM or Stellantis?
I very much appreciate anyone input.

Thanks

Pull out the screws on the 3rd brake light, if the threads are rusty that’s a source of your water leak.

If the headliner is wet its the 3rd brake light, the back window is below the headliner. My 19 leaked at the 3rd brake light

Do you have a sunroof?

My 2021 1500 had the same leak. The terrible foam gasket on the 3rd brake light leaks. Ripped it all off and used butyl rope gasket. Leak never came back

In mine, I was getting headliner wetness (at the rear) due to the sunroof pan overflowing. In addition to the rear cab vents being toast, the third brake light seal being dead, and the sliding rear window drains being clogged. Purchased the truck used and three weeks later it was a swap in there.

The rear sunroof drain hoses are routed such that they go "uphill" before going down and eventually into the c pillar and out the back of the cab. Perhaps it's only a megacab thing. The drains are clear, but water can't flow uphill and start its own siphon. I corrected by shortening the drain hoses and then reaching over the headliner with some zip ties and securing "downhill" to some wiring harnesses that are present.

I also had to pull out the rear seat, all the trim, passenger front seat, lots of time with a wet vac, fans, and odoban to get the carpet, rubber matting, and jute backing dry and free of odors.
