It's true, young-ish at 38 haha. I'll try it out when I'm able, ordered a nice new adjustable hitch that's supposed to be delivered today and was hoping to leave it on. Was a dang it moment to find out it may cause the sensors to yell.

If I turn off my rear parking sensors with the button will it stay off or turn back on next time I start the truck? Same question with turning it off in the menu. I don't care about the rears and rather keep my hitch in with sensors off.

Mine stay off and the light stays on. Turn it off once and leave it off.

Ha, at 89 I can hardly remember when I was 38, I'm still here so it must have been a good year
If the new hitch sets of the sensors you can get stick-on sensor covers that will in effect disable them. That way you still have the side sensors working. I use them on my rear for my adjustable hitch and the front for my grill guard. By the way, on my 2016 1500 and my 2020 3500, the off buttons stay off throughout the ignition cycles.

Just weird that it was fine and then all of a sudden it started with the same hitch in place the whole time. Like they adjusted the sensitivity or something
